Welp, guess that shortened my trip to just one night. Get in, 2 FF shows, get out

They just confirmed that they are gonna do the Maria and Draco opera at the show

That was an amazing thing when I saw it in SF a couple years ago.

I've never caught it despite having been to 6 of these things previously. I am hype

It will exceed it.

Only thing that bummed me was it was the last stop on the NA circuit, and FF16 was debuting in Japan the following week

We also lucked out getting a Spanish guitarist for Vamo' alla Flamenco.

Final Fantasy adjacent so figure this fits with our love for music.

Be there in July!

**Anoat** · 2026-05-08 19:57

Found out the Distant Worlds I'm going to in July offers a VIP package that includes a meet and greet and photo with conductor Arnie Roth and Amanda Achen after the show and I'm debating if I should spring for it. It's not that pricey, only $88 a person for VIP. Should I spend the extra to meet Crystal Mommy?!

**Tyrath** · 2026-05-08 20:29

Do it.

I did the one with Arnie Roth a few years ago and was worth it. You could tell easily just how much he loves the music and working with Nobuo Uematsu.

Sakaguchi is gonna be at the NYC Distant World shows. Both him and Nobuo at the same show, I might die of peak aura
