No. There's a reason I posted it to the Miss Piggy's Grocery Store Checkout Headlines thread.
This isn't race news, or epidemic violence news, it's angry southern redneck news. And so, it goes in the stupid news thread.
Looks like the OpKKK people released their official list:

Doesn't appear to be anyone interesting on it, at least from a brief lookover.
Yeesh, this is pretty jaw-dropping.
http://www.demos.org/sites/default/f...mce/Median.png
The median household headed by a white HS dropout has more wealth than the median household headed by a black college graduate.
It's only jaw dropping if you don't question exactly how they define "wealth". It's entirely possible to have enormous differences in wealth (in terms of net worth) despite having the same income and necessity expenses. It's all in what you do with it, plus a little bit of luck if you're investing. Saving too little, giving too much away to charity, spending on things that don't retain value - these all have dramatic impacts on wealth acquisition.
I know how they define wealth. It's a stark reminder that education is by no means a great racial equalizer.
How much of that wealth is home ownership? 74% of whites own their own home, vs. 45% of blacks. I'd be willing to bet that most of that is whites buying homes while Hispanics and blacks tend very strongly to rent. Also, where to Asians (not Pacific Islanders) fit on that chart, because I'd bet they (and Jews) are higher than non-Jewish whites. More Jews and Asians own homes than whites. It's the single greatest investment available to most people, and that's going to make a pretty huge difference in your wealth-- it's not about lucky investments, it's about that single, important, sound investment in where you live.
I'm sure the majority of that wealth is tied up in a family's home. I'd bet most of the rest is in workplace-sponsored retirement plans.
The sad thing is that black college-educated wealth is on an exact opposite trajectory over time as whites:
That's not good, and it's a self-perpetuating cycle. Generational wealth accumulation is almost non-existent for blacks, even when they have a degree. From 1992 to 2013, the median net worth of blacks who finished college dropped nearly 56 percent (adjusted for inflation). By comparison, the median net worth of whites with college degrees rose about 86 percent over the same period, which included three recessions — including the severe downturn of 2007 through 2009, with its devastating effect on home prices in many parts of the country.
Of course it's jaw dropping. It was clearly designed to be jaw dropping. It's also fairly useless to use to draw much of any conclusions other than it's probably bad without data on a lot of other factors though it clearly wishes to imply some other conclusions.
I mean if I wanted to be really funny I could probably make a graph like that swapping out white with idk whole food vegan and black with fast food junky and the bars would probably look fairly similar
come on guise, you need to start feeling guilty for being white. Don't you feel guilty for being white already? You need to just accept your white privilege and white guilt and hate yourself because of how terrible you absolutely are for making the choice of being a privileged white person in america. Here's pictures so you can start to hate yourself.
Deal. In my case it's laughable pity instead of guilt.
I also like how that graph leaves out Asian-Americans. Prolly cuz then there'd be no bar for the first 3 brackets and the last one would be LOOAADDS higher than all of em. Which is strange considering Asian Americans are even more of a minority than blacks and latinos. Curious. it's almost as if they probably work harder or their career choice is something other than bullshit degrees. Cur.I.Ous. Err- I mean, racism in America blahpissoutmyass
Don't bring us into your privilege wars, we just sit back and laugh at everyone while quietly taking your monies.
Households headed by Asians had lower median wealth in 2013 than whites.
134k to 91k.
But I'm happy to shatter your misconceptions. Asians only recently started out-earning whites. Wealth accumulation takes time.
sad
