If you are going to call out Capitalism/Free Market at least offer an alternative to what is the best system we have managed to come up with. Also this is quite the win for free market as it very clearly shows it's ability to resolve problems without intervention in a lot of cases still.

Redirecting, this has nothing to do with the "free market" nor is it "a win". It's one company taking advantage of a window to usurp customers from another by doing what is sensible from a business standpoint. It's literally Burger King selling the Whopper for a dollar because McDonald's tried to sell their Quarter Pounder for $40.
