Are the crowd trackers/ predictors online anywhere accurate lately?

Looking at going Feb 28-1 possibly.

Disney world on Florida or Disneyland in California?

Crowd trackers have basically been shit since reopening from covid. Basically best bet is to Google any spring break or special events.
Touring Plans is your best bet though.

I would wait another week and catch the Flower and Garden festival at Epcot if going to Florida, it starts March 2nd to July 4th this year and is my second favorite WDW festival.
Your dates are at the very end of the Princess Half Marathon weekend which is always PACKED , any run disney weekend is crazy.

    Sorry, was curious for Disneyland.

The primary plan is to go to Universal Orlando on those dates, but we fly standby (my wife works for the airlines) and it can be sketchy at times.

In Florida, it looks like their Spring Break isn’t until late March or early April I believe.

Disney is an easy drive from AZ. So that is our second option.

Either place is about $1500 for 2 park days, I’d rather not pay extra for Genie + if we choose Disneyland, hence looking at Crowd Calendars… lol

I’ve watched some YouTube vids of the Galactic Starcruiser media previews. Now granted, it was basically a dress rehearsal of a two day event crammed into a four hour period. It seemed highly cringe. Like your local community theatre group paired with the most basic and user friendly videogame mechanics. The cabin rooms are TINY, like college dorm room style. For how much they are charging for this they are vastly under delivering, and that’s from a big Star Wars fan.

Disneyland is going to be a mess from now moving forward. Right now DCA is doing the Food and Wine Festival, Soarin over California is back, World of Color is coming back along with Main Street Electrical Parade, Fireworks Show, and Fantasmic. Add on the fact that the trams are now in service again and the mask mandates are relaxed mean there is going to be a huge influx of visitors to the park. Since crowd calendars are a crapshoot right now, the best indicator is to check the Disneyland calendar and see if regular tickets (not magic keys) are sold out for the days you want to go.

There was an article I read the other day that talked about a "Shuttle" that transported you from the hotel to Galaxy's edge. It was basically a Van/Flatbed truck that "docks" with the cruiser hotel. Guests basically ride around in the back of the VAN/Truck to make it look/feel like you are on a small shuttle and there are LCD screens inside I believe to make it feel like you are traveling through space when in reality you are being bused around.

Disney has earmarked 80 acres of land on Walt Disney World property to build a new affordable housing community featuring up to 1600 living units. Of note, the housing is NOT exclusive to Disney cast members, but given how many are already living below the poverty line in Central Florida, expect it to be a majority cast member community.

    Disneyland/Disney World thread

We got here on Saturday and been having a blast. Full week going all out, bought and paid for over two years ago. Did Magic Kingdom Monday and yesterday Universal. From open to close.

Barely even made it out of Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom lol. Taking a break today with just grilling by the pool to some bachata music, but we’re jumping back into it all over again tomorrow until Saturday. Flying back home on Sunday.

Yo if anyone hits up Universal you have to hop on the King Kong 3D ride. It’s probably been my favorite ride/moment so far, second only to the castle fireworks at Magic Kingdom.

Really? I thought Kong was lame lol but glad you had fun

Avatar Flight of Passage is probably my favorite ride at Disney in Animal Kingdom. It’s pretty much always 1-2 hour wait unless you get there early or buy the lightning lane for it. And depending on how big your kid is he may not be able to ride it just yet. But it’s a must do imo.

You can also go to the Star Wars land at Hollywood Studios and tell everyone they are nerds, I know you want to!

Haha I did love it myself when I was first there in 2019 I think it was..to be honest though Hulk Coaster was one of my FAVORITES.

I love hearing what others enjoy because it's interesting to me as one who frequents theme parks. Also universal city walk in Orlando blows Hollywood out of the water.
Cowfish is my favorite restaurant there..I went twice in two days with my bf last time lol.

I'm trying to go for Halloween horror nights this year.

King Kong is definitely better in Orlando than the Hollywood one.

We did 2 days about a month ago at Universals 2 parks. My kids came away with Hagrids and the Velocicoaster as their favorites.

I haven’t been to Universal since Hagrids or Velocicoaster were open. Gonna put them on my list and hope they are a bit more fat friendly. I’m still titled about the time they told me I was too fat for the Hogwart’s ride

So real talk..when I went to Universal last time I didn't try Hagrid since it JUST opened , but couldn't do the other Harry Potter ride..escape from Gringotts, as the retsraint was just slightly too tight for me. It just really depends on body shape similar to flight of passage which I have no issues with.

The thing I do like is they have test seats and some rides have modified rows or seats that are just a bit larger. I'm back on track with my weightloss to avoid this issue again.

Avatar is a blast. I got really lucky that when we went with my parents last year they were able to be considered "disabled" so I went on it three times in a row within a half an hour.

I love that ride and can't wait to go back.
    That's awesome!

I actually use the DAS service due to sometimes crippling social anxiety and PTSD issues so I can usually hit up a lot because of it. The first time I rode it I couldn't believe how amazing it was. Unfortunately about two minutes after I got would call my father in law died , that was the worst as I started crying in Pandora, several cast members asked if I was okay..

Okay I changed my mind. Pandora flight of passage easily the MVP of rides this week. Ignore my previous suggestion and make this the number one priority.

World of Color is back at DCA next Friday, April 22nd. It will use a virtual queue that opens at noon. First Come First Serve. And you can't choose your showtime if there are multiple shows for the evening.
