Tron Lightcycle Run is currently undergoing cast and AP previews at Magic Kingdom. Guests of larger sizes are having hit or miss issues fitting in the ride vehicles. Kind of reminds me of Flight of Passage where you have to straddle the seat. The locking mechanism slots between your calf and thigh in a kneeling position and this seems to be what is causing the issues. So taller and stocky people are having more issues than overweight people are. However—guests who can’t fit in the cycle seat can still ride the attraction in the ADA seats on each train which are bucket style seats with a VERY generous lap bar restraint instead.

TLDR, is Tron fat friendly? Yes and no. The cycle seats themselves may not accommodate riders of larger sizes but they do offer an alternative seat you can use to ride it.

Disney has always been pretty forgiving on more big & tall stuff, something I wish Universal would improve upon.

Universal is pretty much getting called out for the Mario Kart ride only accommodating waists sizes of 40 inches or less. From what I've read, the public seems to believe it's a form of fat shaming, but my understanding is that it is the rules set by the insurance company of the ride developer that sets the rules and that they set the 40 inch restriction because if they allow more room than 40 inches, it means that kids can't be properly restrained.

Bob Iger announced based on the success of Pandora in Animal Kingdom and the box office success of Avatar 2, they have greenlit an “Avatar experience” to come to Disneyland. He didn’t let on if it was going to be a full land or a single attraction. I’m not sure how much land they have left to work with in Anaheim after building Galaxy’s Edge. So might be a single attraction, unless they plan to demolish more existing stuff.

They got some tricks to do. If they want to do a full land, they can re-purpose some land that runs alongside Harbor Blvd for it.

If they are only going for a single ride option, the old star wars launch bay in tomorrow land is huge and could be re-purposed easily into a FoP clone. Could go alongside the whole cosmetic redo of Tomorrowland they've been talking about.

Season 3 of The Mandalorian debuts today, and Mando and Grogu are now appearing in Hollywood Studios at Galaxy’s Edge for photos. They had been previously announced as only appearing in Disneyland, but today it’s been announced they will be a permanent addition to Hollywood Studios as well. Disney was sneaky with this today as it was completely unannounced and also the first day of Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot, so probably all the vloggers were over at Epcot covering that instead. Well played.

Disney IT really fucked things up this time. They did a new update overnight and randomly around 1030am went to login to my account and says it was deactivated.

Uh..no..wtf? So find technical support and call them after looking on my usual message boards and groups and seeing no real info about it. Yup known global issue, but randomly affecting people. I'm one of the unlucky ones. Then an hour later posts are flying in others having the same issue, those at the parks unable to book Genie+because their account is inactive. Supposedly it will be fixed by the end of thr day but this is annoying.

Glad I made my park reservations for next month the other day..

WDW cast members union and the Walt Disney company have agreed on a wage increase for cast members, going from $15/hr starting to $17/hr effective immediately, with $18/hr by the end of 2023, with my incremental raises over the next several years to reach a minimum wage of $20.50/hr by 2026. Cast members hired on or before October 1st 2022 will also receive retroactive $1 per hour back pay for all hours worked since that date. Also included is up to eight weeks paid maternity/paternity leave for parents of newborns. The cast members union is set to ratify the deal on March 29th but it is expected to be a near unanimous vote. This is well deserved and a long time coming for cast members. Hooray unions! Hooray Bob Iger!

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

    God I love Disney.

My hope beyond hope is that Disney pumps enough money into FL politics to turn it blue.

My guess that’s the plan and this piece was a part to hold Deathsantis at bay until they can make it happen.

You guys should hit up Roundup Rodeo BBQ in HS , I had a blast after doing the LA Cava Experience in Epcot at 1045am , then drank around the world before taking the skyliner over there for dinner.

Food was all you can eat and all of it was delicious. Even have some yummy cocktails.

Bob Iger announced today a ten year plan investing $17 billion into Walt Disney World Resort and the creation of 13,000 new jobs.

That sounds an awful lot like a 5th gate announcement, or multiple resort hotels. Thats…a lot of money and manpower.

But didn't he announce a shit-ton of layoffs recently though too?

Bro fuck this. I'm so done with them.

I don't even want to bother with Disney anymore cause no matter where you are it's a 60-120+min wait for a 3min ride, followed by a one hr line to get decent overpriced food, followed by a 20min wait for the bathrooms. It's just too much. I don't even have fun in the parks anymore, what even is the point; I just stare at my watch thinking it took me less time to drive from south Florida to Orlando than I spent wasting it staring at this sweaty dudes back.

What bathrooms are you going to that cause a 20 minute wait lol?

I get wait times suck, but don't go during peak times (seriously, why the fuck would anyone go during spring break) and enjoy the much shorter lines. Think the longest line I stood in, that I wasn't using DAS or Lightning Lane for when I went last year in September was maybe 30-45 minutes.

Same with food. Only really got hosed one time and it was more trying to find a place to sit at Harbor Gallery then it was to order my food.
