I booked a Keys to the Kingdom Tour for my September visit (the backstage & utilidoors tour at Magic Kingdom) and got reservations for GEO-82 (the adults only bar inside the Epcot ball) so I’m pretty pumped about it

Keys to the Kingdom was so much fun when I did it a couple years ago.

You should also try to do the tequila tasting at Epcot if you got the money for it.

Wow that sounds like a blast. Good for you! Second the tequila flight in Mexico. That same location also has a bar to the right of the entrance that makes killer themed drinks.

yup. It got the crystal inferno drink with the tequila made by Bryan Craston and Aaron Paul, and it was damn good (and spicy)

In 2026, Hollywood Studios will be replacing Star Wars Launch Bay with a Disney Animation experience based on the "Once Upon A Studio" short film. Will feature the return of Mickey's Sorceror's Hat as a park icon, an indoor Alice In Wonderland themed kids playground, interactive elements, a short film, and wandering character experiences in the courtyard.

Launch Bay has been needing to go for a while, I just hope they find a way to incorporate the SW meet and greets into Galaxy's Edge, especially Darth Vader.

Sounds like someone committed suicide yesterday at the contemporary resort by jumping from the roof on to the monorail track, fucking brutal

Soarin' Around The World will temporarily change to Soarin' Around America at both Disneyland and Epcot for the celebration of America's 250th birthday. The new change will debut in summer of 2026.

Sounds like a second person committed suicide at the Contemporary Resort this month. Yikes. I hope that is not becoming a trend.

It is unfortunately a badly kept secret that many people go to Disney to end their lives, but most of them are done inside their hotel room, and not so...publicly.

Galaxy's Edge in Disneyland ONLY (at least so far) will be reimagined to be set during the original trilogy. The forested area around Rise of The Resistance will remain based in the sequel trilogy timeline (since they can't really change Rise), while the other half of the land will roll back the clock to the OT featuring characters like Luke, Han, Leia, Chewy, and Darth Vader. The changes are set to begin at the end of April.

That's the shitty part of going January/March. That's the height of the refurb schedule before spring break hits.

Used to be the cheap time to go due to that reason, but now you're paying more for less

Welp… hopefully it’ll be less busy while there…. Could almost be worth it… especially if there’s no need for lightning lane add ons

So I've been on a Socal theme park kick recently, i've gone to DCA/Disneyland probably 12 times in the last 6 months. As fun it is, I'm actually really jealous of the rides at Epcot. If I were to book a trip to Orlando sometime this year, whats the best hotel by your guys' assessment? I think I just care about something that clean/safe. I'll be going by myself so I don't need bells and whistles.

Plenty of hotels in Orlando...you mean on the Disney campus? Will you have a vehicle of your own or need to rely on hotel transport?

So I'm a bit of an onsite snob when I travel.

If I'm looking for budget, pop century is my favorite due to the gondolas to get to Hollywood studios and Epcot.

I do withdraw this recommendation if there is a major event like a cheer competition though as it gets crowded/loud.

If you want fancier, I used to look at renting dvc points for the deluxe hotels. If you go during the beginning of hurricane season, such as week of the labor Day holiday as schools are going back into session, you can get some good rates.

I haven't looked this last year as I'm broke as fuck and didn't go, but in the past I've gotten Animal Kingdom lodge for about 300-350 a night, Boardwalk (probably the closest to Epcot walking wise) for about 200 a night, and bay lake tower (part of contemporary and a monorail resort) one bedroom, which came with a laundry machine which was a godsend at the tail end of my 8 night trip for about 500 a night.

Rack rate on those rooms were in the 500 range for the first two, and over 800 for BLT.

I find that ludicrous just for staying on site when they don't come with additional bonuses. Rent a car and stay off site bruh. Turo app or something lol

Are you wanting to stay on Disney property? Because all of those will be safe/clean.

If your concern is budget, the All-Star resorts are the most affordable, ranging from around $100/night during off season to maybe $200 a night during the busiest season. Pop Century resort is usually a little more expensive, but not by a lot, but has the added benefit of the Skyliner which can get you from your resort to Epcot or Hollywood Studios in 10 minutes or less.

If you are looking off property, stick with the well known hotel brands and resist to the urge to save money by getting a sketchy motel off 192 as those are *definitely* not safe or clean.

If you are off property you’ll need to rent a car and pay for parking at the parks. If you stay on site, you don’t have to pay for parking as a resort guest if you choose to rent a car, but staying on property you don’t really need one as there are multiple free transportation options to get you around Disney World. You’d still need a car if you want to go off property, like to Universal or Orlando proper.

ah man, did not know about the gondalas, that looks cool af. renting dvc points sounds really complicated. i dont know how dvc works at all but it screams MLM/cult so I'm apprehenwsive.

pop art looks great and in budget, thanks for recommendation.
