So out of curiosity I looked at Leon Draisaitl's stats for this year, because he gets zero press. Dude's got 17 points in 10 games. Why isn't he being talked about more?

I think they are all just waiting for him to stop being good. McDavid getting injured might have been good for the Oilers, cause now they know how good Draisaitl is. They still have a shit defense though.

This week was inventory at work, so I'd get home and be ZzZzzzzZ. It's not hard, just brain-numbing since this was the year end one, so an auditor was out. It's funny though how it's been working out so far. But they've jumbled up lines a bunch because of injuries. In theory, the lines would've been
Hall/Nuge/Ebs
Pouliot/McDavid/Yak
Hendricks?/Draisaitl/Scrubmuffin
Random/Letestu/Insertpersonhere

Had McDavid's injury only been short-term, and Ebs coming back, everyone figured Leon would be back in the AHL - where he had 0 points in 6 games, which is funny how easy he's making the NHL look in comparison. But Leon got moved to RW with Hall/Nuge and it working out great.
Here's the scary thing: Yakupov played well w/ Connor (who wouldn't though tbh) and Draisaitl is killing it as RW. Assuming he keeps it up (ok, 1.7 PPG isn't a long-term reality, but assuming he doesn't turn into complete trash) then our top 2 lines would be:
Hall/Nuge/Draisaitl
Pouliot/McDavid/Yakupov

Oh... hey Jordan, can you ummm skate on a line with Lander/Hendricks?
Now, that's just going by previous chemistry with Yak/McDavid that they'd go right back together. Assuming Ebs slides into #2 RW to play with Connor, then Yak is a 3rd line RW and will keep up his current pace of being bleh without McDavid in the lineup. But at the start of the year, that line was fire.

Wonder if they might try asking Eberle to play LW on McDavid's line instead of having him headline the third line.
