Plus it'll be a 3rd game, is Wally Sparks really a step up from Bernier/Reimer, or was he a one-and-done guy because let's face it, getting a shutout against the Oilers that night proves that you can spell NHL and not much else. LOL

Reimer is getting the start tonight.

I also don't think it's fair to evaluate him on two or three games because he (or potentially Bibeau) is hoped to be the future, not the present. He's an RFA at the end of this season and Reimer is a UFA so the Leafs need to see both of them to see what they want to do. Sparks didn't get much help from his team last night either; I'd say that was pretty easily the Leafs' worst performance this season. He played in the ECHL all of last season and had a 0.938 SV%, he's been on fire for the Marlies since Bernier got hurt and Bibeau got called up, let's give him a few more starts and see where we're at.

Speaking of goalies of the future, Jon Gillies getting hip surgery, out 4-6 months. While it sucks right now, in the long run it's probably a really good thing. Pretty much the same surgery as Thatcher Demko (a Canucks goalie prospect) and Eric Comrie (Jets goalie prospect) got and both of them have been thriving since.
