Play by play be damned, thats a clean hit. I see a high hit, its chest and shoulders, but not a head shot. Especially when the operating statement is principle point of contact, of which there is definitely not.

Also not interference, playing the puck with your hands is still playing the puck. Its no different than if instead of juggling it with his hand trying to corral it he had a puck lost in his feet and he was looking down (assuming no headshot). You don't have to nice and neatly have the puck in full control to be a puck carrier for purposes of a hit.

But that said, even if it toed a rule, Buff had it coming to him after the past few years of gooning.
