The way the habs are going (and the rangers too for that matter) and the way the other teams in the are going, those two teams can actually be out of a playoff spot by the winter classic.
With tonights loss, the Habs last 10 has gone from 2-7-1 to 2-8-0. As far as point percentages go, the Habs are 3rd in the Atlantic. We got the Wild tomorrow, then the caps, then two important games in Tampa and Florida. If we lose those two games (the divisional opponent ones), we probably wind up outside of the playoff picture.

I was gonna say something earlier this year, since his first 3 games were "OMG, we found a keeper!" (no pun intended) to "Oh mannnn, he cheats off the posts and people have figured that out... "
Boston with his 47 saves and tonight making 44, he has looked super solid, in games we definitely didn't deserve otherwise.

But I figured if I said anything about him being "meh" at times, it'd be countered with "But you have zero defense" as the easy reply, which would normally be the case, and understandably so. But he had his shaky moments, but also looked in-fucking-credible at times. Will I take it? Hell yeah. Do I wanna have to rely on that? Not a chance.

Oh man Miller is now out for the Canucks. The Canucks are without Henrik Sedin, Brandon Sutter, their top 2 centres. Hamhuis is out for 6 weeks and now Miller is out for at least a game. But because we're in the pacific getting 2nd in the division is still a possibility lol

I disagree, because youre flat out wrong. In 2011-2012, they were near the top of the league in CF and CA, lockout year skewed stats super hard so thats irrelevant. In 2013-2014 they were 7th in the league as far as fancy stats go I believe, or around there

in 14-15 they were a much more average team, I think they were sitting around 12th.

This year they are trash.

High chance the ducks and rangers both lose tonight, somehow, someway

And despite the fact that they are freefalling in the standings, their overall possession numbers are improving, we are just getting ZERO goaltending right now. The one thing possession cannot account for is 1 or 2 severe defensive miscues.
