Desharnais and Therrien for Crosby, he's already scoring on Fleury.

Kopitar close to signing an 8 year $80mil extension with the Kings. Oilers also recalled Kassian
So when will oil rebound (commodity, not the team, but both are due. sorry Richy) so the salary cap isn't as low as it is?
Kopitar does deserve the $10mil AAV though. Wish it were closer to $8.5-9mil though. Been a workhorse throughout his tenure so far. Let's see Dean Lombardi juggle these contracts... and by contracts, I mean Dustin Brown. Be interesting come June to see what his situation is.
LOL it's definitely tanking (I guess both in this case, really.) which sorta sucks since my job deals with oilfields and stuffs the whole time.
Well, other trades as well, though majority of it is with the oilfields. Funny watching companies have to actually budget instead of "We have bottomless pits of money. Please order us X-items and the PO total will be infinity dollars. Pls ship."
John Scott reportedly got sent down to the AHL lol. Coyotes needed to make space for Kevin Connauton. But according to Elliotte Friedman, he'll be coming back up pretty soon.
For the first time since I got my license, I got gas for less than 90 cents a litre. I don't expect it to recover quickly or soon.
Funny though how they admitted not terribly long ago that the price of a barrel doesn't overly influence the price as the pumps. It does to a certain point, but then there's the usual gougey times of "Hey, long weekend... bump this up 5 ~ 10 cents a litre til Sunday for... reasons." or around various holidays etc That, and it's taxed to hell, so there's where a majority of the money is made.![]()
I think here it's been hovering around 80~85 for awhile, but yesterday was 77.9/L in town
Town being I live in a little tiny place just outside of the city - but hey, we were on TSN for Kraft Hockeyville a couple years ago! LOL
In Vancouver it's still hovering around $1.10 ._.
When my parents visited in November and went down to Seattle, they said it was like $3.20 a gallon, which is roughly $.80 a litre. That was in November too, I can see it being way lower now.
In fact, having looked here: http://www.washingtongasprices.com/B...ham/index.aspx, the highest price is $2.69/gallon which is about $.67/litre. Almost half of what I'm paying +_+
Cody Hodgson on waivers - Oilers should pick him up and play him with Kassian like "Hey, you guys were traded for each other, enjoy the 12th line."
Totally random going with economy stuffs, especially up here... (thanks, Loonie) that escrow may go from 16% to 20% for NHL players. Ouch
By ouch I mean, those poor, poor millionaires will have more money taken off for escrow increase than we'll make in a year
Is it bad I'm dying for the Rangers to blow up the team as best they can and rebuild?
Yes.
Bitching and moaning about a team that's 8th overall in the league and 2nd in their division is fucking terrible. Even Nynja's bitching and moaning at this point is way more justified given how hard Montreal has dropped. What's more, if the playoffs started today, 5 of the 7 teams that are in front of the Rangers they wouldn't even have to worry about facing until the Stanley Cup finals. 4 of whom are in the same division and would end up just eliminating each other long before that point.
Looking forward to seeing if the blackhawks catch Dallas tonight despite the games played. Hawks played last night and then travelled so it should be interesting.
WTF, when did you get your license? lol
Since the summer I've been getting it for under 90/L here and there(their was a 2 month patch where I didn't get it for cheaper than 95) Their was even one point over the summer where every gas station here had it around the 80's, and IIRC I even got it in the high 70's.
Fuck California and their special refined gas. Paying 3-3.25USD/gallon in LA. That equates to 1.14-1.22 CAD/L. Meanwhile the rest of the country is hovering around $2USD/gallon.
Couple years ago I was travelling to NB(East Coast) a lot, and passing through Quebec I was paying around $1.50-$1.60/L, in a fucking 4.3L gas guzzling Trailblazer. After 1 trip I was like fuck that, started taking my sisters Jetta Diesel and just by-passed all gas stations in Quebec. Fuck those frogs haha
