This has been a good game between the Hawks and Blues tonight. Very physical and hard hits. Everything I expected. Reaves didn't diserve that major though. But like they said the Refs only have a split second to make a decision, and the way they are under a lot of pressure to protect the players, decided to call it.

So not only has he beaten all his offensive numbers from last season with tonight's game, been the fastest player to score 2 goals since 2014, but Johnny also broke the record for most OT points in a single season. Not too shabby.

Edit: Everyone on twitter is celebrating his 2 goal 1 assist performance but no one, even the Flames twitter PR people, are realizing he set an OT record. He tied it on Dec. 15th against Nashville and he broke it tonight... against Nashville.

Well at least the point streak remains alive.

Also, the Preds are 1-12 in 3v3 OT. This team could lead the Central if they could win a fucking OT game. Has to be the worst 3v3 record ever.

I'm not going to give props to a player who mugs another player for a hit he didn't even make. That was some Ray Emery bush-league bullshit, and the cherry on top is that Polak got a fucking 5 minute major for that beating and Nurse didn't even get the Instigator he was supposed to.

That whole scenario was an embarrassment to the league and for once this season DOPS actually handed out an appropriate punishment.

And I'm not saying I want our team to be full retard like Torres and Cooke, but that we need players to stick up for teammates is all.
There's a reason why a team like the Islanders win 8-1 against us. Martin and Clutterbuck do their thing, and the Oilers crumple. Then Tavares, Okposo get all the room in the world to snipe away.
Any team that hits them hard within the first 5 minutes of a game, pretty much has it won.

Nobody is looking ahead at the schedule like "Ah shit, we're off to Detroit... which one of us is getting Kronwalled? " or "Playing the Ducks. A couple of us better watch for spears from Perry." It's "Ok, Oilers next. If we can sorta cover McDavid and hit some of their other guys right away, we got this."
