You can play with grit without being a thug though. It's fine to want your team to be tough to play against (hello Winnipeg) but saying you hope his dad was cheering him on as be beat the shit out of a completely unwilling combatant (who could have wrecked him if he wanted to, let's be honest) is pretty asinine. No one should be condoning or supporting that behavior.

Other teams don't look at the Oilers and think "easy win" because you're not tough enough, they think easy win because your defense is still awful and you're now without four of your six regular NHL defemsemen. Fayne might be your only NHL defemseman in the lineup tonight if Sekara can't play.

It's more just me arguing back with stupid shit based on the comment of "I hope his Dad was cheering him on." Come on, you should know by now at least that I'll play Devil's Advocate on lots of situations (ie the Kane comments I make whenever he's brought up. We all know he's SI's Feel Up story of the year. To be honest, I was cringing when it happened. I knew Nurse was gonna get in major shit for it. But at the same time, watching this team for years get pushed around has been annoying as shit. "Oh, someone just boarded Eberle? Line change. Not my problem anymore." pussy garbage. I think with Nurse it's been boiling over, and he finally just snapped. Granted it was at the derpiest time, but watching this team all year, I knew it was coming from him. Even Yak lately has been playing like he's a pest. It's amusing, in the way that watching a squirrel poke a bear would be. My only major fear at this point is someone will run McDavid in response.

This summer is gonna be interesting to see what PC does or tries to do. We all know he isn't afraid to move anyone. And he's already said he wanted to get bigger and stronger - picking up Maroon was a start

I still get upset knowing that 5 yrs ago Jagr WANTED to play in Montreal with TOPTEN, and management didnt want him. And then 3 years ago, again he wanted to play in Montreal, but Bergevin said he was too old and too slow to keep up in this younger faster NHL.
