Zach Hyman with the easiest tip in he'll ever be credited for.

And a big hit by Kadri causes a line brawl. That's a little ironic.
Kadri just got 5 for getting mugged. Jesus Christ.
Edit: Wow that's actually 2 for Embellishment, that has to be a joke.
The aforementioned shenanigans:

I really hope we don't have to face the Preds in the first round.
Not sure what Kadri did to get an embellishment there, he took a 2h slash to the back of the leg. The "theatrics" were probably a legitimate reaction.
He got chopped in the back of both knees, at the same time, and then Jooris put him in a headlock for good measure.
But it's Nazem Kadri so he must have dove somewhere. To be honest the reffing has been pretty suspect all around since Babcock called out the refs a couple weeks ago.
Also, goddamn has Nylander looked good tonight.
I honestly have no idea why we started Hiller. Backstrom yesterday, Ortio on the bench, both have a waaaaay better chance of being on the team next season but in all honestly, none of those 3 should be on the team next season (maybe Ortio in a backup role at best).
That Kadri embellishment call was hilarious. Gaudreau and Jooris simultaneously chop his ankles after he cleanly hits Johnny. Jooris proceeds to jump on top of him while Johnny taunts him for turtling up and for whatever reason Kadri gets an embellishment? lol
I didn't even realize you were carrying three goalies until they showed Ortio on the bench in the first period.
The Sens really didn't like him but honestly Greening has looked not bad at all for us.
Edit: And another one for good measure.
Eh.
Real good game from the Leafs. If the Jets could win a game that would just be great.
Edit: This tweet from Dangle had me rolling too. https://twitter.com/Steve_Dangle/sta...85336747286528
The replies are great, justifying the embellishment penalty.
Fuck the leafs, but seriously, that wasnt embellishment.
I'm gonna laugh my ass off (read: cry) if that call triggers the diving fine for Kadri.
Vrbata, sutter and edler out for season.![]()
You've got to be more subtle than that, Vancouver.
Sutter and Edler were already injured weren't they? Vrbata has been shitting the bed since well before the trade deadline. Clear as day he wants out of Vancity and is grumpy none of the teams he gave Vancouver to talk to wanted him back.
That doesnt make sense, because a NTC is in the hands of the player. If he truly wanted out, he could waive his NTC.
Now, if he wanted out to go to a playoff team, well then shit, suck less. 27 points, 14 at 5v5, for a 5m cap hit from a one dimensional player (doesnt play on the PK, but his deployment is pretty avg) is pretty bad. Desharnais has one less point than Vrbata in 6 less games, and Davey only makes 3.5 (but he has more isolated deployment), and last year after the PO, Bobby Mac said that Desharnais has pretty much zero trade value.
Basically, its Vrbata's own fault he didnt get picked up.
What happened is that he gave Vancouver a list of teams that he'd be willing to wave his NTC for. They approached those teams and said Vrbata wanted to be traded and asked those teams if they had any interest. They did not.
Like, no interest not as in a bad offer for Vrbata. But no interest as in no interest at all. As in, they didn't make Vancouver any offers for Vrbata.
