Pauly Byron is also playing against his former team and probably working harder than usual. Therrien is most likely just taking advantage of that

Your complaint would make a lot more sense if the Habs were losing this game but they are up 4-2. Clearly he must be doing something right by getting guys in the ice that are generating something.

I expected to be bitching by far the most out of anyone here (save probably Nynja), but by and large, the Leafs have played pretty good hockey so far save the game against Detroit and two period against the Yotes (and not the best effort against Buffalo either). Even tonight I thought they played pretty well after the first period.

All I have to really bitch about right now is Bernier's chronic early goal syndrome (and he actually had a solid game tonight so I can't even knock him) and their completely horseshit luck with regards to scoring.

They've been miles better defensively already compared to last season. I think the problem is they're all so focused on playing defense the right way that it's costing them chances on the rush. I think the offense will come back with time.

Usually what happens. Get focused on playing sound defense and structure. Once the team gets used to that and it becomes more of a 2nd nature after getting everyone to buy in the offense starts to come as players feel like they can take more chancing knowing that since everyone is doing what they should be doing there will be someone there to back them up if the play goes the other way.
