Considering the caps were either 1 disallowed goal that 30/30 NHL coaches agreed should've been allowed, or 1 healthy Nick Backstrom away from the ECF last year, I fail to see how such a prediction is now laughable when they've clearly improved roster-wise.

It's all about who stays healthy. This team has better depth than it did last year, but I still don't think they could do much without a healthy Ovi+Nicky in the playoffs.
