Pretty sure that was Campbell. I don't remember if that was against the Pens in the playoffs (two years ago?), but Campbell definitely did that. However, he didn't stay laying on the ice - he hobbled around to finish the PK.
Edit - Yeah, it was the Malkin one-timer you described. That was Greg Campbell, and that's why my wife decided to get a Greg Campbell jersey.
Hobbled, laid, either way he never really got more than 6 inches off the ice and it was all pain-induced adrenaline. That play is always my first thought when I think of NHL caring about player safety. A broken femur is a major enough of an injury to cause someone to go into shock from the pain and the way he was left out there as long as he was and encouraged to continue to try and play through it was reckless, even for the pre-Stars/Bluejackets time it occurred in.
Damnit Anderson
Johnny gonna Johnny. Easily the most consistent player on the team this year
Also, this (if it's been posted already my bad):
rip connor's shoulder

Yikes, that doesn't look good. He's only like 12 games into his NHL career, but he's already making incredibly obvious differences to that team. The stream just showed Bob Nicholson and (why the fuck is he still around?) Kevin Lowe not looking too thrilled
Unrelated; Gaudreau, Bennett and Dougie looking great for the Flames so far. Everyone else? Not so much. Monahan has been non-existent for like 3 weeks =/
Saw that on my twitter feed Aks. Still hilarious 2 weeks later. The cringe after Bob Miller realizes what he said is pure gold.
I've never heard of this Jarome Iginla guy before but I gotta say he's pretty good at hockey.
Welp, another game, another 5 goals allowed. What else is new?

Draisaitl looking good for the Oil, 3G 6A in his first 3 NHL games.
This mcdavid kid is pretty injury prone. Broke his hand his draft year, now this
With help from the Flames goaltending, Iggy is now only 5 goals shy of 600. If he has a hot season he could potentially tie his boss Joe Sakic for 15th on the all-time scoring list with 625. And if he pulls a Jagr and keeps playing for a bunch more years (Jagr is 5 years older than him mind you), he could potentially break into the top 10 in all-time goal scoring.
Outside of the lockout year and last year (where he netted 29 goals with a god-awful Colorado team), he's scored 30+ goals for 12/14 seasons. And with 6 in 12 games already this year, he's easily on pace to break it again. If he even scores only 20 goals a year for the next 5 (if he hypothetically plays 5 years which, given his ability I don't see why not), he could potentially pass guys like Messier, Lemieux and Yzerman on the all-time list. That's pretty remarkable.
Of course, this all depends on a whole lotta "if" situations, and if he isn't already, he could be the highest goal scoring player to never have won a Stanley Cup lol
Edit: Scratch that "highest to have never won a cup" sentence. That terrible accolade goes to one Mike Gartner. 7th all-time in league scoring with 708 goals, the doode not only never won a cup, but never even got to the cup finals, never won an NHL award, and was never named to the postseason All-Star Team. That's fucking brutal lol. He is a Hall of Famer though
Edit2: Okay, ignore that Mike Gartner bit, the awful accolade goes finally to Marcel Dionne, 4th in all-time goal scoring. Never made it past the 2nd round even. And this is for sure the highest, because above him are Brett Hull, Gordie Howe and Gretzky lol. Dionne is also the player with the highest total points to never win a cup either.
