This is a fucking awesome conspiracy theory.
While a conspiracy theory that I'd like to see some more validity of to believe, it actually makes a fuckton of sense.
I think the best way we could start by figuring out how likely it is, is by trying to find out exactly how many of these meetings does he have on a trip?
I mean, are these "secret meetings" really just a ton of people that go in a line with some donation money or w/e? I would not doubt at all that the Pope would have zero idea of who this woman is (he's not American after all). And if they just had her show up and say "she was jailed for her religious beliefs", his response would make a lot of sense.
But I want to believe so who knows. lol
Misquote? lol
LOLVATICAN CITY (AP) — The Vatican on Friday distanced Pope Francis from Kim Davis, the focal point in the gay marriage debate in the U.S., saying she was one of dozens of people the pope greeted in Washington and that their encounter "should not be considered a form of support of her position."
And with that one quote the last two pages are solidified as lolol tier.
needs awith a pope hat.
It's almost like it's a safeface response to the backlash.
Are yall calling the Pope a liar?
You do know that is a sin right? LOL
You don't think anyone in the Vatican has ever lied? Really?
What about fiddling kids? Is that not a sin?
I don't share your rosy view of the world that everyone must be exactly who they say they are.
Or they are pissed that Americans are using his meeting to push political agendas when we don't know the whole context of their meeting other than one or two sentences.
But confirmation bias will confirm.
As someone said previously, when you are a public leader, if you go around meeting people in secret its going to look like an endorsement no matter what. How about not meet with someone like Kim Davis? That would've solved the issue.
Not to mention he already made comments supporting her before he met her.
Personally, I give zero fucks about what any organized religions say, or really anyone that is religious says. My whole thing is that this pope is making changes.
