2 questions so far; 1)Is there anyway to upgrade accessories like weapons/body armour? And 2)How do you transform weapons/gear?
2 questions so far; 1)Is there anyway to upgrade accessories like weapons/body armour? And 2)How do you transform weapons/gear?
(1) there is an equipment screen you can swap out gear on. If you mean for the girls, then you first need to get their affection high enough before you can trade them stuff. I think its affection level 4 or 5.
(2) You upgrade gear by having the necessary materials and then going to the blacksmith shop and upgrading and choosing the stat you want to push
It was late and I should have been more specific. For question 1 I meant is there a way to upgrade gear like rings or waist or helmet at a smith (whether through Lis or some other smith) to +1~+9? Or can you just do weapon, off hand, body and feet?
And for question 2 I meant when you go to those smithing NPC's, you get the option to upgrade or to transform, but I've yet to see any of my gear appear on the transform menu. So I was wondering if there are specific requirements towards being able to transform gear
Edit: Did some looking around, looks like only weapons near the end of the game can be transformed. Still haven't found anything on gear upgrades though =/
Right side stuff can't be upgraded(accs/waist), only left side can be upgraded.
The later weapons can be transformed into certain legendary paths.
That's kind of lame. My accessories are weak as fuck right now lol.
I unlocked Celestial Blades (dual wield) and it's as fun as I could have hoped. Fast attacks, some OP SP/HP regain moves that make it pretty beefy. I've been focusing on Str/Att and not really focusing on Agi/Dex at all, and I have no idea how individual stats like that affect my character lol. I'm assuming just focusing on Str/Att is the way to go
Depends on the main skills you use, as each skill has its own modifier, such as 80%str, 40% agi, etc. Most of the best accs are from raid bosses, the multiplayer versions as they give much higher stats than single player version.
Holy Chain is SP/HP, drops from 1st raid boss
Matrix Ring is DEX/AGI, drops from 2nd raid boss, then there's ring of el dorado which is dex/sp iirc, either or will most likely be your choice for dps build. El Dorado ring drops from a blue chest in Illial Temple Lift
Loincloth of Depravity is SP/VIT, drops from 3rd raid boss
Both of the best charms drops in the last area, either go SP/AGI charm, or STR/AGI
And uh, the bracelet, think there's one with STR/DEX and another with STR/AGI, I know the STR/DEX one is from last area too, unsure on STR/AGI one.
Those are pretty much your best accessories for a dps setup. The raid boss drops are last attack bonuses only.
Edit: I'm retarded, I remember now, the STR/AGI Wrist is Last Attack bonus from 4th raid boss.
Ahh I see I see. I've only progressed to the 3rd region so far. Haven't even touched multiplayer. I'm progressing slow as fuck because I'm being kind of OCD about completing any quests I possibly can as soon as I get them. It took me until the end of the 1st region to realize that the green ones were infinitely repeatable too v_v.
Conversely, I do like that the game makes it so it's incredibly hard to overlevel. SP gains are easy enough, but EXP dropping off hard if you're a couple levels higher than the mobs around you is pretty nice to keep it somewhat challenging still
I would avoid doing the item quests as those materials are needed to upgrade armor and weapons, once I found this out, I stopped grabbing them and only do kill ones. Multiplayer portion can be done solo, don't even need others. There's a option for "Solo" when going to multiplayers that allows you to bring up to 8 partner AI as well. Multiplayer on other hand will definitely overlevel you if you farm for some of the better drops, but game isn't too difficult to begin with. Example: Those lv100+ HNMs you see? Can kill majority of them no problem around lv30 or so, granted you learned the right skills, the main ones being in the attacker role alone which is very OP.
Attacker role is getting nerfed hard though in a upcoming patch, JP already has it. Some other OP skills getting fucked hard too, probably gonna miss Overdrive the most![]()
This game sucks. The AI sucks. NPCs won't heal or dodge. It's taking everything in me not to chuck the disc as hard as I can into my backyard.
I finished the main story. Have no desire to continue with any of the online/multiplayer content
