    "if it hits sanchez and he drops it and the runner scores"...except this throw isnt dropped by sanchez, this is a throw that hits the batter.

    He knows it wasnt dropped by sanchez, he is just giving a hypothetical. Once the act of throwing the ball is made, the ball is live.

    No one even made a play on the ball because the home plate ump was clearly waving his hands saying it was dead. I guess body blocking throws back to the pitcher is a thing now.
