Were they forced to put Navarro in the 9th batting spot in the order? He took over for Martin, couldn't they have left the batting order the same and let more of the 3-4-5 guys have a better shot of getting an at-bat?

Edit: Or did Navarro pinch-hit for someone? That was probably it now that I think about it

That strike 2 to revere was a horrible call lol, like 2 inches outside, and it forces him to commit to swing at anything.

I don't really want to blame borderline calls like the ground rule or strikes/balls. The problem was not doing anything with RISP

sequencing 25-30% chance events (hits) together to score runs is luck

it's influenced by skill obviously, but if this was a 20 game series, you wouldn't see the Royals hitting .400 with RISP (or w/e it was) and the Jays below .200. both would regress toward the mean
