Yeah, saying that we'd win just as much now as before when our defense just got significantly worse, and I mean.. the fucking KC Royals just won the world series because they don't strike out a ton and they have good defense. A good bullpen and such helps too, but yeah, fuck the front office.

He was, but he also had a really mediocre season coming off of TJS and if he stays healthy this season I am certain he will make a lot more money next offseason than he would have this one.

Couple that with the fact that the team in most dire need of a catcher just inked AJP, and he probably felt like the market for him wasn't great and he wasn't in the best position to command a lot of dough that he probably will be next year.

Jays have apparently come to an agreement with Estrada on a two year deal. Dunno how much it's worth, think the current number floating around is 26M.

I don't know how many teams are itching to give a guy who is barely a 4th starter a multi-year $20+ million deal, and lose a draft pick, when he is like the 20th best SP on the market, but someone will be stupid enough to.

I don't know how many teams are itching to give a guy who is barely a 4th starter a multi-year $20+ million deal, and lose a draft pick, when he is like the 20th best SP on the market, but someone will be stupid enough to.

There's a market for that kind of pitcher that will typically get you 200 innings and 12-14 wins. He will probably get a 2-3 year offer for 8-9 mil a year most likely.

15m and some change. Weiters probably took it because he had a mediocre season this year and since a draft pick is tied to him he figured next year might be better for FA for him.

If I thought I could improve on 3/27 after a solid year, yeah. If I felt that was my likely cap, no.

If you take the 27M, you're saying you probably won't be worth 6.5M a year for the 2 years after the first, which is unlikely for Kennedy, mediocre as he is.
