So remind me again why that argument didn't include reasons why the following weren't included:

Ashe
Rydia
Tifa
Garnet
Lion
Cloud in Drag
Terra

... given that they were also strong, atypical female characters who didn't conform to the "independent woman" archetype?

Rydia's mom and whole village died
etc etc etc

Part of his crazy argument was that these characters didn't require any sort of "catalyst" to start wanting to fight to save the world such as that. I can't say I agree with the guy but most if not all of those characters wouldn't fit based on his criteria.

No joke though, Cloud in drag is a better female character than the rest of that list.
