to my own surprise there are still non-Warriors teams that play basketball, caught Clips-Pacers last night and man, Paul George is fucking balling. he's at 28-8-4.5 with career highs in all the shooting %'s while remaining a top 5 perimeter defender and forcing what everyone assumed would be a disastrous Pacers team into the 2-spot out East

Steph has an MVP lock if the Dubs sniff 70 wins but George is a strong #2 if he can keep it up

Hell George might not even be in the top five in the NBA and I agree, he's had a great season.

I'd put both Durant and Westbrook ahead of him for sure, with their dueling 31.x PER. Boogie is the only reason that team isn't the Sixers west, but George killed the Bulls when they played last week. Clutch play over and over again.

I just realized the Bulls are tied for 3rd fewest losses in the league. They don't feel like the third to fifth best team, that record is a little iffy.

funny thing was barnes's scouting report coming out of college was that he had the hyper-intelligence of shane battier combined with the explosive athleticism of a 40 vert guy. i always thought he'd be best player coming out of the draft. i think he might still have a chance to turn into something really good. 23 is still very young.

My wife's a UNC alum and we watched a ton of Barnes in college. He does have that crazy high ceiling but he would just disappear for games at a time. He also never got to the line as much as you would think for a guy with his skill set. I think he's a great player who could never be a focal point in the NBA which is exactly what the Warriors need him to do, anything more might be asking too much.

yeah i think his biggest thing is he feels weird putting the ball on the floor. maybe if he ever develops that part of his game some he could be a 20ppg guy but right now i'm thinking the warriors are happy with what they're getting right now.
