The Spurs getting the 1 seed would be epic. I feel like Pop is pushing this team harder in the regular season this year compared to previous years. I wonder if last season's 6 seed aggravated him. He's still resting people, but they are just in no fucks given mode right now.

don't think it's a matter of Pop pushing much harder during the regular season, this is just a markedly better team than last year. Aldridge was a huge addition and Leonard spent half of last year either out injured or playing through injuries. Green's terrible regression aside the rest of the team has improved with the new #1 and #2 offensive options as well. Parker, Ginobili, Diaw, West, and Duncan have all embraced the new order and while their usage rates are down they're all playing the most efficient ball of their careers
