It was interesting to see how the corporate sponsor logo actually looks on the jerseys. The all star game was a trial run and supposedly the league is pretty close to allowing it next season. The deal is that each team can have their own sponsorship deal for three years and half the money from the deal goes to the team while the other half goes to a league pot that is shared by the other teams so that smaller markets get a fair share.
Time to find my post from a couple years with NBA jerseys with logos
trade deadline Thursday, excited for some wheelin and dealin
Man, can't believe we traded away Harris for Jennings + Ilyasova.
Harris is the person I'd have picked to trade away out of the players with actual value but not for those 2. People are saying it's a potential salary dump since he was on 64m / 4 years but that really isn't that bad considering the cap is going up. Looks expensive now won't look bad come free agency. Plus people have to actually be willing to come to us which as shown by last off-season, with Millsap, they are not. All that is going to happen is we're going to pay over the odds because A. People know we have the space and B. We have to pay over the odds to get them to come.
I'd have rather kept Harris than gone through with this trade. We don't really need Harris but he's better than what we got for him. We should have at least been aiming for an improvement to the team if we traded him.
Hornets/Griz/Heat had a 3way
Trade deadline day and no posts?
Bunch of trades, nothing major that I noticed but a lot of picks getting thrown around
Been busy at work so haven't had time to check up on the trades. All I know if that the Magic got rid of Frye. Years too late but hurray! I would have paid someone to take him off our hands in the off-season because of how hopeless he was last year
the Grizzles just admitted they can't win with what they have, rip grind city
Foye was an interesting pickup for OKC, they're close but that starting 2 spot is a fucking catastrophe. not sure he has a different profile than Waiters but at least they swung
my poor Suns continue to rip apart the only good thing they'd put together since Nash left. rebuilding here we come. again.
Suns had to get rid of Chief Kieff though, can't have him choking the youngins
lame there weren't any blockbusters. I still don't understand how the hell Houston got a likely late-lottery 1st rounder for Motiejunas
even if they dont love the draft, too many questions to me on D-Mo for him to be worth a 1st, which are treated like gold around the NBA now. If his injury issues subside and he plays like he did in his one strong season, he's still a weak defender. it's not a preposterous trade, I'd just rather have the pick
I'm not a basketball connoisseur so I really cannot disagree with you. My hometown homerism just hopes it works out. At the very least it has been very entertaining for us here in the Detroit area since SVG has taken over. My personal hope is Detroit becomes more competitive because that benefits everyone.
Damian Lillard certified cold-blooded!
Dame why gotta do us like this?
"Be a king in ya mind, but do the work of a servant."
Picked a good night to go to a Blazer game, holy crap. Not sure what I was expecting, but not that. Heard on the radio on the way home that was the most points given up by a defending NBA champion (in a regulation game) since 1986. What the hell?
Just about everything went right for Portland tonight. Even the fan who took the half court shot in the 4th quarter made it, and won a free Toyota Prius.
no love for the Brow? threw down 59 & 20, joins C-Webb and Shaq as the only guys to do that in thirty years
until John Wall does it at some point in the coming months. probably twice
