a lot of people think the same thing. it was like a catch 22 though. if d-mo was healthy enough then the rockets wouldn't have traded him to begin with. a healthy d-mo would really have bolstered detroit, though.

i don't actually feel bad for them because i dislike morey, i hate dwight, and i loathe harden and lawson. but i did think they were gonna be a lot better than they were and they really should've been. just my opinion but i think they put too much faith into harden, and with some missteps by morey they've been hurting. i think they need to be considering a rebuild, moving harden included.

Dwight will be a FA after the season I think - still your best option to build around Harden

personally i don't think he's someone you can beat good teams in the playoffs with. the smarter refs don't fall for his foul/flop bullshit as much and that's almost entirely what he leans on when he gets pressured defensively. then on defense he is just a scumlord who screws over his entire team.

you can build a great defensive team all around him to hide his ass on defense, kinda the way they did for AI but that requires getting actual good defenders. not casting your lot on lawson/terry/jones, etc, all dudes who range from bad to horribad. i think they need to get rid of him and start over or remake about 80% of their team.

Man, we're playing really well and against anyone else we'd be winning. But what the fuck can you do when Curry has 46 points by the 3rd quarter. He got 24 in the 3rd quarter alone including a literal half court banked buzzer beater.
