redundant skills with their superstar and now they have the worst defensive backcourt in the league, and maybe worst i can remember in recent history. and the thing is if you invite a petulant problem child who doesn't take responsibility for his own shit and who is an alcoholic who DOESN'T think he has a problem, i'd say that doesn't make any team better.

if it's untenable, you play him off the bench and reduce his minutes shared with Harden. they have Dwight/TJones/Capela to help make up for their defensive shortcomings anyway

i think eventually they're gonna try to split the pairing for fit's sake. but no matter what those two on defense is just atrocious, and a getting-old dwight isn't gonna be able to cover for them when they're both sharing the court. capela might help since he's super athletic and ariza always helps, but they have their work cut out for them.

anyway i think houston has a lot of issues and you're right, blaming it solely on chemistry is premature. for sure it's tougher to identify the culprits when your star player is playing like a jackass, but lawson doesn't carry his own shit and harden definitely doesn't. harden literally said that they're not worried about being 0-3 and if i were a fan i'd have a real fucking problem with such nonchalance. just saying, them being blase and partying big time before games is definitely not helping them at all.
