Draymond gets it because he's a prick and on a ridiculously good team. If GS wasn't winning this much no one would give a shit.
and also he's a prick
And an asshole.
he's an emotional player (celebrates profusely) and talks a ton of trash. what came first, him being a "prick" or GS beating your team?
for the record, I acknowledge that if the Hawks lost to the Warriors in the playoffs I would probably hate him too
My team hasn't lost to the Warriors in the playoffs, and I think Draymond is a piece of shit.
Draymond isn't wrong, though. Everyone knows he bitches for calls consistently, but he's not blantantly flopping every game or even touching that Artest/Rodman-tiered gully-ball that people reach for. NBA would be foolish to suspend him.
its like the announcer's said. he has to or he won't get calls. He is too big and strong so it looks like dudes hitting him doesnt affect him but thats a bunch of bullshit. shaq would prob still be playing if refs didnt let people beat the shit out of him day in and day out.
Dray is the floppiest of the Warriors dude
my team loses to everybody but i can't believe anyone is surprised that Green is widely hated, and notably no other Warrior really is (Steph is hella beloved in fact) so i'm not sure how far the Warriors players are hated because they beat you line goes. history of dirty plays, floppy player, has an outsized ego that makes people mad when it's attached to a Kobe Bryant-type nonetheless a guy that mean-mugs people when he hits an open 3 that Steph created for him.
if it was intentional, I agree
had brainfart and was thinking Spurs had lost to GS. point is you probably built up a lot of hate in the regular season SA-GS match-ups
to me there is a distinction between "selling the call" and the histrionics of backpedaling and falling back 10 feet from contact from your own player. full disclosure I am a Lebron hater
I'm not surprised by it, he's an agitator and see my previous comment that I would hate him if the Hawks played them in a series. for whatever reason he doesn't bother me, I like how hard he plays and how pumped he gets himself and the team. I wish the Hawks had more guys that cared that much, especially with his type of talent
From a scale of 1-to-Lebron, Green is a solid "meh" in the NBA's flop category. You have to look at the state of the league, even the cleanest of players will take a flop every now and then. I stand by my comment that Draymond is an average hard-nosed player when you compare to previous eras' "bad boys", he just appears more hardcore to everyone because he yaps at refs, throws bows, and pushes off in a not-so veiled manner. I hate to sound like one of Barkley's rants, but players are babied too much these days, that's partly why flopping exists in the first place.
Going on 6PM where I am, at this point the NBA is just fucking with us. Announce the decision already...
Pretty sure Stephen A. Smith is an IRL troll. Looks like no suspension, flagrant 2, and a fine.
If the league isnt punishing players for doing moves you cant even do in the UFC, then Ibaka needs to Ugandan Chop Scurry in the ankle.
Well, Adam Silver showed his colors : NBA Riding GS's nether regions
#FuckDraymondGreen
Next press release will be "NBA would like to apologize to Draymond's foot, we will be suspending Adams for remainder of the series."
