Main Heroine of the new Rhapsody stuff. She's from the future Vana'diel and you're (the Adventurer's) student who came to the past fix shit that went crazy and also because you are a big dick OG who stomped every Boss/Demi-God/Actual God/Time Displaced Clone who ever threatened the world.

In related news I will be sorely disappointed if XI doesn't also get access to that shit but I have a feeling XI's event is the final Rhapsody itself considering no other info has been given about it.

Hair+Costume+a set of XI themed weapons, similar to the XIII event, would be awesome. I'm not holding out any hope for getting weapons though.

this is pretty much how i feel lol; they could've picked a whole bunch of other people to get me interested but i guess they're doing her cuz she's the current XI beau. it makes sense but i'm very meh about it now

also isn't she implied to be Tenzen's daughter

Same. Give me Lion, give me Aphmau, give me Robel Akbel I don't even care just someone from before almost everyone quit XI... it makes little sense to use Iroha to get people to want to come back to play XI (though she is cute). None of the people who migrated from XI to XIV are going to connect with her like they would with one of the older characters. A company that's built entirely around nostalgia should know this.

Honestly, I was thinking that it should've been Lion. After her sacrifice at the end of Zilart, she pops up here for a bit, then goes back.

But, yeah, super disappointed that FFXI gets a new character nobody knows/cares about and one set of armor, when FFXIII got weapons, two sets of armor, and a character nobody cares about.

I think they should have Shantotto bail on XI when the servers go down and permanently reside in XIV in some fashion, since she's already crossed the bounds once.

I'd be okay with that. Perhaps start an interdimensional feud between her and Gilgamesh throughout future games.

I actually like Iroha's character, and while the salty salt of old XI players here is real, the Rhapsodies missions are real nice, I mean compared to nostalgia of CoP and such they probably won't hold up to most of your expectations, but I'm digging the FFXI Finale, and her armor is plain badass anyway. Wouldn't pass on another character (saved Overused Shantotto).

Then again, I played XI past 75 and loved it as much as I did pre-75. Well, to an extent... I missed good old fashioned NM hunting... a lot ._.]

But probably not resubscribing anyway... Playing dress up isn't my thing so XIV still doesn't have my interest back... I'll just youtube the cutscenes.

Should be implied -- lance looks like it became the new host for Phoenix.

Shantoto, Lightning, Gilgamesh. Cloud of Darkness. Final Fantasy characters seem to have no problem traversing to Eorzea.
