lol, that was even worse than hunts.
I know lol I chuckled
Yeah the hunt shenanigans get pretty insane. There are FCs on Siren that definitely have similar experiences to Uryuu's regarding hunts.
Even if you don't want to consider it real drama, it's the closest the sterile environment of the game can give us so far.
You were seriously the most entertaining aspect of Hyperion for a long time. Before I left Waka had almost filled your shoes, but I don't think he could quite pull off the Ketchup Chips amount of server hatred.
All humor aside, the drama between shells back in XI really added an element of fun to the game. Even for our backwoods server, the nagging between cae, tal, dh, pixies, etc made everyone want to play a little harder just to piss each other off, and the results were usually gold.
Long gone are the days of sniping a tia, tense moments waiting for DI to pop as everyone runs around like crackheads rushing to claim, ridiculous late night KBs, etc.
I enjoyed XIV, but between the weekly lockouts, repetitive content cycles, and just overall boredom I couldn't hang. I hung on for a while with hope (see the old thread in my signature lol) but alas, it just didn't work for me
I got my achievements and never heard of tootie frootie person.
Hunt Drama was pretty funny. There was that drama about Angered on Ragnarok paying money for people joining groups iirc too.
You should have seen some of the cuckolding (I think thats the right word?) my last FC's leader did to some of the members.
Meh, not really. The competition was fun, watching people get butthurt over small and useless things was fun, trolling people when it doesn't actually hurt anyone is fun. Legitimate drama was not fun. Hearing about linkshells that split up because someone stole the bank or some gear wasn't really fun, it was just pathetic.
One of my proudest moments in that game was getting called "animals who should be locked up in cages" by Draylo for Whiskering people who got charmed on Croin.
It's not so much about it being "fun", it's about it being interesting.
Nothing in XIV matters enough to get people to care enough about anything to actually cause drama, and that's not interesting.
I'm obviously in the minority here, but I disagree about it being interesting, too. I just didn't care about it at all and had no interest in hearing about it, which is why the only reference I've actually caught in this thread was Taj publishing the bot list.
I had a lot of stuff typed out til I realized we are in agreement. Nevermind.
I'm nostalgic for drama.
