This seems a lot simpler than what I was thinking. The first one in can pick his favorite group of 5. Second one gets the next group, and whoever doesn't show gets the last group.

So whichever of Moss, Headspace or Tyven shows up first can pick his team of 5 from above, second gets second pick, and whoever forgets to show up at all gets whatever is left. If nobody shows up, we'll just assign by alphabetical order of user name, which is sufficiently random for these purposes.
