I worry for the future of the Windows operating system if the people at the top are drinking that kool-aid. Cornerstone tech companies can't really afford to hire sub-par talent.
Woah there. Nothing saying they are going to hire less Asians.
When it comes to diversity talks no one ever seems to care about Asians. You either have enough shades of brown or enjoying white privilege. That's how they secretly take over... while everyone else is fighting each over race Asians down there working hard and making bank while in their heads hating everyone
FUCKIN KUNG FU BUSINESS PRACTICES
everybody was kung fu coding (HUH!)
that windows screen was loading (HA!)
the new patch we were downloading (HUH!)
caused servers to start exploding (HA!)
oh oh oh oh...
"Asian Americans — some of them at least — have made tremendous progress in the United States. But the greatest thing that ever happened to them wasn't that they studied hard, or that they benefited from tiger moms or Confucian values. It's that other Americans started treating them with a little more respect."

Holy shit talk about twisting words.
Ok yeah that may have been a bit much, but that seems to be more or less the sentiment I keep tripping over when encountering today's moral busybodies. The notion that certain demographics innately hold so much power in society that they prevent other demographics from succeeding, as if people of any given demographic are unable to succeed solely through their own valiant efforts. It doesn't sit well with me to see such notions bandied around so casually.
Maybe you should have read the article. You probably would have been less incensed by the conclusion if you had read literally anything written before it.
Because you probably won't anyways, the article talks about wage data that is broken down by level of education. Asians in the 40's were paid roughly the same as blacks at every level of education, both of whom made less than equally educated whites. Asians in the 80's, on the other hand, were paid roughly the same as whites at equal levels of education - both still more than equally educated blacks.
Asians as a whole make more on average than whites today because Asians are disproportionately more likely to hold college degrees. But college educated Asians still make less than equivalently educated whites.
Ironically, Asians did not become more individually prosperous because they worked harder and became more educated but because white people believed in the myth that they worked harder and became more educated.

Sounds like you guys need a good step down memory lane. 4Chan goes ham on the Steven Universe Tumblr fandom after they drove a fan artist to borderline suicide via harassment and doxxing. They implore the creators to back them up, just to be told that they're being trolled, and the creators even laugh at some of the trolling. After a "reveal" of the creator of the Tumblr, the vitriol is immediately backpedaled on.
