Again, the article mentions culturally insensitive Halloween costumes. What fucking costumes are we talking about? Do Yale students really dress up as Hitler and Black-Face and attend white only SAE parties? I'm genuinely curious, because as far as I know, the types of costumes in question are promiscuous costumes that every one every where in this country deal with if they go to a Halloween party targeted at people that are of legal drinking age. Does any one even know?

I'm not entirely convinced the President's silence is worthy of his resignation. The President isn't supposed to interfere with every incident on campus, he has people do that for him. The feces on the bathroom wall, what even is that? I'm not convinced that's an entirely racist-towards-blacks thing that many articles make it out to be. Was there a message written with it? Or is it really just a nazi-loving person writing on walls with what I assume to be his own shit.

The SAE party thing is another can-o-worms in itself, and I'm curious if the black women in question were just not liked and if there were other minorities in the party that people actually got along with, or if this was legitimately a whites-only affair. I only ask because you'd think having a party with whites-only would happen more often if it's happening already, to the point that we would hear of other SAE parties where minorities were not invited. Is that the case? If so, why aren't we hearing about these other white-only parties? So far, I see no evidence either way, but I'm more likely to lean on the opinion that these women were just not liked since they're already dropping in uninvited, obviously. Why weren't they invited to this party? Why are they trying to attend a party they weren't invited to? The reason for why they were not invited might be relevant, but only if it's because of racism. Otherwise, stfu and stop being butthurt that the cool kids didn't invite you to their get together.

Of course, that all goes out the window if the feces thing was racially motivated, and not just a dumb kid doing dumb things, or if the SAE party really was an all white affair. Still, not a lot to go on when no one is reporting anything other than these incidents, and that time a guy in a truck drove by and yelled some racist things.

I can't answer any of your questions but I don't think it matters because it sounds like you've already made up your mind. That's the trouble, isn't it? Absent of a video that shows someone saying "whites only" to a prospective party-goer, we have to take people at their word, and those who don't want to simply won't. I choose to listen to these voices, because I've seen campus racism as a student and none of the stories would particularly surprise me. And because they seem to be clearly hurting.

Can't the same be said of a person convinced it's racism? That absent of a video of some one at the party saying "she doesn't get along with us so don't let her in", people are convinced it's racism and nothing else. The only difference is I'm looking for proof one way or the other, otherwise I'm not going to assume some one is being blatantly racist because in my experience those kinds of people get what's coming to them.

And you say they're obviously hurt, hurt like those ridiculous sjws we comment on all the time? This right here is why extremism from sjw, blm, feminist, etc are detrimental to the credibility of people when they make accusations like this; I just can't take it at face value because so many times people are overreacting or taking things out of context.

C'mon, it's already happening in the very situation you're talking about. People are outraged because a professor says we should debate and discuss appropriate Halloween costumes? get the fuck out of here with that. Even if the costumes in question are overtly racist, there's nothing with with discussing that because the conclusion we will both reach is "yes, this is insensitive and racist". This is why I question them, and shame on them and you for thinking that that is not ok.

And it's a shame because I wouldn't be surprised if poc were turned away from a party in an affluent white area, but because they speak of that situation in the same breathe as this email, I have no choice but to question exactly what happened and if it went down like the accusors are saying.
