if you wear a shirt that basically says "fuck mexicans," then yes, I think that's an open invitation to discourse. if you're going to make your views public then be prepared to defend them.

and no I'm not defending those two. I'm just calling that guy a pussy for wearing an inflammatory shirt and refusing to defend it. I personally would ignore him, but that's me.

I'm pretty sure a shirt that literally said "fuck Mexicans" would be less offensive to these people than a shirt that implies Trump support. And either way, no, wearing an article of clothing in no way gives you a moral responsibility to defend a particular viewpoint. Wearing a band tshirt doesn't require you to defend that band's music. Wearing fur doesn't require you to defend the fur industry.
