Hopefully it brings some solid introspection on how easy it is for public outcry to influence your choices and they evaluate their stances and grow from the experiences.

Yes, hopefully conservative groups in the future will learn to plow ahead anyway and destroy their brand by letting a known advocate for "intergenerational relationships" speak at their institution.

I'm all for painting the conservative movement as pro-statutory rape.

Also financial. Maybe lesser point this time but a lot the reactions to outcries are often based on just fear of what it will do to the bottom line even if it likely often only be a short term hit. Almost certainly why Pewds got dropped and is fairly understandable. But not always necessary and sometimes causes more harm then it seeks to prevent
