I don't want to spread fake news, but I remember back in the 90s Howard Stern interviewed some ex of maher's who said he broke up with her by fax or by sending a note up to her apartment or some other such shit.

What I'm saying is Maher is a douchebag with next to no empathy. As far as being an entertainer, I'd put the times he's funny vs obnoxious as 20-80, and the worst part is when his mediocre jokes don't land, he blames the audience because they were obviously too dumb to get it.
