a cool thing is that for every instance of someone losing their job over social media posts there are a million more people writing white power on facebook and not getting fired. that is the funniest part of all this heehee

You do realize having your security clearance revoked at an airport means you basically do fuck all right? It's like a doctor being banned from ordering medications or even giving general advice on treatment or diagnosis. There's an investigation going into these people and what they did which can lead to jail time and not just loosing your income, but prison but hey they're so afraid of being islamophobic right? Yeah I don't think you are going to get much traction for firing someone over social media posts and google searches in a mostly anti pc thread especially since pretty sure we've had discussions on related things and it's been similar. Now if they had done nothing maybe. Or if the investigation turns up something and they stayed employed sure. But wtf expecting someone to be summarily let go because of some shitty fb posts and google searches. I can totally see why an employer might but outrage that they didn't cmon man

Hell, they could have put the guys on a paid leave while theyre investigating.

-you cant bring a bottle of water past security for "safety concerns"
-you cant leave your luggage in an airport for fears that it is an explosive device
-if you utter the word bomb on an plane you will be kicked off / maybe arrested
But an employee of airport security can promote terrorist propaganda and research home made bomb making techniques and is still permitted to work at said airport...as SECURITY!! Fucking SECURITY!!! Even if he cant access the runway or the planes, whats to say that someone who IS carrying a weapon or explosive device will be permitted to go through security by that person?

If an elementary school teacher was found to be taking an excessive amount of pictures of their students durring recess without reason, some of which just happened to show the students in certain positions, should they be permitted to continue teaching? They did nothing illegal.

Sounds like a lack of hard evidence and complaining victims with the problems of an insular community making prosecution or even bringing charges difficult.
Similar thing going on in towns around Utah with Mormon child-brides.
People know what goes on, but stopping it is unfortunately not an easy thing to do.
