Good thing Betsy DeVos is on the case to help our education system.
Hey now, black people aren't fat. You take it back.
Yes. Be not only justified in confrontation based on who you are confronting, but in how you do it. Her actions create, however limitedly, sympathizers for this turd-stain. She did not attack his views or his positions, but him, and I can get why that's appealing or whatever, but it's counter-productive.
It should be noted that white supremicists are a vanishingly small portion of the American population, and their ideology has grow increasingly unacceptable over the decades. Her confrontation wasn't needed to further that goal-- she was not helping the cause of delegitimizing his views, it only humanized him. Her confrontation served no purpose other than to satiate her own ego, and while, yes, she removed him from the gym, she has gained him far more attention than he deserves, and given him yet another platform to gain attention. At the same time, whatever viewpoints she has are put under greater scrutiny, and people associated with similar ideologies get put in her pigeon-hole, whether they are polite or shriek like harpies. It's not fair, it's not what should be, but it's the way people react.
To wax Biblical, "“Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves” (Matthew 10:16, KJV) When Christians follow that advice-- striving for wisdom and insight, remaining free of hypocrisy or even the *appearance* of hypocrisy, the faith spreads, and gains respect even from many who generally dislike the religion. The same mentality is eminently effective with most proselytizing-- and make no mistake, wars of ideology are an engagement in proselytizing. It's not enough to *be* right, because that persuades profoundly few people, regardless of intelligence or education. You must *appear* and *behave* in ways that seem right, in ways that are "above the fray". Being "less bad" isn't enough: being "better" isn't enough. You must be "good".
It's why this "ogre in a tennis-skirt" is getting flack: she is clearly, by any reasonable standard, even in this shrillish, selfish moment, less harmful than a propegator of Nazi ideology. And yet, because she is still *not actually behaving well*, the message itself is lost to the emotional recoil of her being, well, whatever she's being.
Civil discourse should never stop from the side of those who would value it, and it should never become a weapon the vile can use to defend themselves against those who would stand against hate.
You know my post was just an excuse to say cunt 3 times right?
But really no. Civil discourse stops when someone thinks black people aren't people. Nazis deserve punches in the face, not words.
Disagree. Those videos of Spencer getting punched are fun for the whole family.
If people are sympathizing with a NAZI for getting kicked out of a gym, they have their priorities all wrong.
Maroot, if you could go back in time. Would you kill baby Hitler?
