Dam bruh ur makin me pansexual
It's a dumb concept that I find upsetting because it's the same kind of stuff I bemoaned about lgbt and feminism: oversensitiveness taken to an extreme which diminishes the value of fights for equality.
It's the kind of ammo the people who deny these problems exist need to flourish and build their case on "see these guys just claim everything is racist" therefore actual racism gets streamlined into being ok because the accusation is always considered as blown out of proportion and never taken seriously.
"White privilege" was an even dumber point to add to the conversation, it's a completely different context.
Feel like this needs some evidence to back it up. Psychological studies, case studies, etc.; claiming that it's some sort of brainwashing of the population in order to find certain subsets of humanity attractive and generally "rewriting" how basic human instincts and carnal urges work just by having media full of white people seems like a pretty bold claim.
Just because someone doesn't find individuals of a certain demographic sexually attractive doesn't necessarily make them racist or bigoted. You don't have to want to bury your dick inside of someone in order to like them. I don't want to fuck most people of most demographics, including my own. Does that mean I'm racist against everyone?
Here we go with the privilege shit again.
Jesus fuck.
While there are plenty of features of the human body that can be the same or similar between those of different races, there are still enough features that one could typically associate with race that can result in a lack of attraction or even repulsion. Things like the size of your ears, nose, or lips. The projection of your jaw or brow line. Texture and style of hair. Skin tone and propensity for blemishing. Sharp or rounded features. It all pieces together in some complex manner that further plays on our fondness for symmetry and cohesion.
Sure, there's probably some nurture over nature in there somewhere, like how some guys wind up attracted to body types similar to their mother's, but jumping on to shaming a dude because he doesn't find a specific woman or type attractive is silly. And it shouldn't be perceived as a sleight against the woman or group, either. And whether they like it or not, some trans folk are simply unable to hide features relative to their birth sex even with the aid of surgery or hormones. That clash will inevitably trigger that alarm of, "Something isn't right here..." in many even if not meant in malice, and again, that natural reaction shouldn't be shamed. It's what comes after that's important.
Of course, if you're an uggo of any race or sex, you're pretty much SOL unless you're rich or got mad game.
Seriously. This is shoe on head retarded.
O shit whitey getting defensive now, pls posture how interracial (at the very least) isn't seen as subconsciously socially taboo still
from NC and trying to say there isn't an awkward silence in the room when an interracial couple is on muh tv
I didn't find a single one of those men attractive. I must be a misandrist.
The fuck does that have to do with Latin chicks not getting my dick hard?
See this is what happens when you think people who think these absurd ideas don't exist. They pop into the conversation about them and show you. I eagerly look forward to the if you are a straight women it's because of not so internalized misogyny. And all the other popular isms
I should also point out this obvious difference. People don't say, "I don't like darker skin tones." They say "I don't find black people attractive."
Black people= the whole person vs. curly hair = one feature on a person.
If you don't find curly hair attractive, that doesn't mean you don't find people with curly hair attractive.
But if you don't find black people attractive, that puts a full stop barrier on the whole being.
People are either being retarded or obtuse here, I'm not sure which.
There is a difference between active racism and systemic racism, and even systemic racism comes in various forms. If you honestly believe that your lack of attraction to people of different races is entirely 100% genetic and has nothing to do with racial conditioning within society (systemic racism) then... I mean, it's possible but very unlikely. There is almost certainly some nurture there, and that is not a controversial statement in the least.
However, having sexual preferences that have been nudged in one direction or another by the system in which you grew up does not make you bigoted. That's not the claim, not at all. And good lord, leave white privilege out of it. That is a whole other topic.
Oh get fucked, that's just semantics. I meant the exact same thing, there wasn't some greater motive. Both were meant on a physical attraction level.
Every response you give is worse. Honestly.
Really? Cause from my perspective as a white man who lives in a predominantly black area of america, this is not normally the case, and in fact my brother is marrying a black woman. Just because it happens in some places doesn't mean it happens in all places. Please strawman harder shitlord.
Even if you had a good point you lost it right here. Seriously. Reread that sentence. I know what you meant but that is just a terrible, awful, no-good very-bad sentence, because that is exactly what not being attracted to curly hair means.
There is a huge difference between not being attracted to different skin tones from your own, and not being attracted to black people because of systemic racism - and I would bet that in most Americans who are only attracted to their own race, both of those concepts are at play, not just one or the other.
Im glad your brothers sacrifice has shielded you from the horrors of considering black women
