And I think you try to apply the concept of systemic racism to the wrong field.
Biologically speaking people can chose mates based on a number of reason. Similarity can be one of them. Could you believe there are also blacks who don't find whites attractive? Incredible I know.

Biology is not the only determining factor in attraction, and systemic racism certainly plays a part in many cases.

He isn't black. But most Indians are fairly dark skinned (I picked him as he is a fairly recognizable Indian, even if he is lighter than what some are.) fwiw When I saw him live he was darker than in pics.

Well never seen him irl so can't comment on that but I don't really see him looking dark enough not at worse being mixed. Hell the darkest race in me is Japanese and I've got pictures of me looking darker than that. Good ole Cali sun does wonders.... well when you actually spend decent time in it.

That said skin tone is only 1 physical feature that can be more predominate in a race that usually though not always make it kind of obvious. Now sure someone who is actually racists to either probably will lump them together. Someone who just has a sexual preference against one of those races can still see those differences and depending on the feature(s) they find more or less attractive they may or may not still find said person attractive.

Are we also nurtured to like certain hair styles, eye color, body figures? Yep. And some people's brains end up rejecting those the media wanted us to like, and some grew up liking what the media wanted us to like.

With that said, skin color is mostly about having little presence in media to begin with.

Sorry but this is just a ridiculous notion to me. Maybe in a few decades when genetic conditioning becomes a thing on a more widespread level I'd be more in tune with what you're trying to say here, but naw man. This is ignoring far too many factors (social pressures to say something and do another; fetishism; etc.) and also ignoring that humans are wired on a fundamental level to find some humans more attractive than others. Let's not even bring things like "body figures" (aka, fat people not being universally attractive to other human beings because of "fat shaming") because that's even more stupid than trying to imply that not being sexually attracted to certain demographics is racist.

But I think you are touching on something. Because when someone says "I don't find black people attractive." Then they are lumping 1 billion people together.


And again, this is not absolute. I am 100% sure there are people out there who just naturally don't like dark skin. I get that. All I am saying is that there are going to be a ton who got that way in part to how they were raised by being fed what was considered attractive.

Panda just posted a ton of fucking hot black women. I do not doubt there are many many people out there who would have found them hotter if they had white skin. I also do not doubt that some of that reasoning is due to the way they were raised.



And just to be a broken record, I don't think there's anything that can be done to people personally. I am definitely not saying, "You better fucking date black women or you are a racist!" And I think you are going to find generation by generation black people suddenly becoming "more attractive" as more and more kids are being raised with attractive black people in the media.

there's too much dumb bullshit to unpack in the last few pages but anything who thinks 'who i'm attracted to is just biology and chemicals lol' has a poobrain. standards of beauty vary widely and change with time. look at European impressionist paintings where soft, full-figured girls with fat arms was the ideal, look even to the 90s where heroin chic and model thin were very en vogue compared to today where thicc and fit rule the roost.

going even further see classical Grecian societies where an outright majority of the male populace was bisexual and hebephilia was a cultural norm, or the ancient Roman society where plowing boys wasn't gay as long as you were doing the penetrating, and both Julius and Octavian were rumored to have engaged in steamy man on man action.

your sexuality is not your own, you have been conditioned your entire life. deal with it nerds.

of course, this doesn't make you racist. having a foot fetish doesn't mean you cheat on your taxes. but it does mean you may have internalized some prejudice if you can't find a single attractive member out of an ethnicity with hundreds of millions of candidates.

I think you're looking too much into this hyperbole. I doubt there are many on the planet who will find every member of any one demographic unattractive, but that isn't to discount that they can find a majority of the physical characteristics of that demographic unattractive. Regional differences in physiology play a part in this; northern africans, for example, vs. central africans. Major difference in physiology, and someone may find northern africans attractive while they do not find central africans attractive.
