Nah they hate the jews now. I guess they've ascended to master race now.
Nah they hate the jews now. I guess they've ascended to master race now.
but the people who hated Jews were of the blonde haired, blue eyed persuasion
they better let the blax get in on this hate
Fabulous gas chambers when?
I saw Roseanne Barr posting about that and called it the Dyke March thought she was just being hilarious
dyke must be the lesbian n-word
THAT IS OUR WORD, YOU HAVE NO RIGHT SAYING IT
This is an older article (2015) but the concept popped up in my viewing yesterday and I wanted to bitch about it:
https://www.theguardian.com/science/...ty-or-disorder
Summary of the author's opinion: Autism is not a disability or a disorder.
It's a constant theme I hear from either those with mild autism to those who are self-diagnose internet autistic people.
Tell a mom who has a child with a moderate-severe form of autism that it isn't a disability and therefore they shouldn't try to find medical answers to it, and I hope she punches you in the face.
While I am thankful that my kids do not have autism, I've seen severe cases. It's rage inducing that those with mild versions in the community want to fuck it over for those who are often nonverbal.
Yes, they should be treated like human beings, but no we should not stop researching it to help those who can't help themselves.
The article is a mix of true things and lots of feel-good bs. So probably the author knows the theme but isn't a great logical thinker.
As someone actually on the spectrum I've never made this case, so I'm not familiar with your generalizing gripe. I'm actually quite interested in the research, from the influence of gut bacteria to lack of certain proteins, I think we're getting there and that will be an achievement not something to frown upon.
I do remember a while ago I was talking to my dad and he made a case about whether the word syndrome is appropriate. But it was merely from a psychology semantics perspective, not this 'god makes everyone perfect' stupidity.
My nephew is 15 and non-verbal it sounds like a disability to me.

i worked with an 11-year old autistic girl who was non-verbal and when attempting to engage with her her primary mode of social response was to grind her teeth so hard you could hear it as she stared at you directly in the eyes. it had caused about half her teeth to be broken and the rest to be stripped of enamel.
but no, it's not really a neurodevelopmental disorder, it's just prejudice.
It really is dumb.
This autism organization ASAN (According to the Autism Self Advocacy Network) has been fighting with AS (Autism Speaks) over it. ASAN wants money to go into pushing for autism acceptance while AS is putting money into finding a cure.
You got shit like this:
http://www.goodtherapy.org/blog/auti...entity-0417171
btw I know that site is lol, but if you want to see an article heavily slanted towards the ASAN idea, it's pretty thorough.Leah Ashe is a parent to two autistic boys—a 12-year-old and a 10-year-old.
"Following diagnosis, I heartily supported AS, being desperate for hope and support,” Ashe said. “I learned quickly that isn’t their purpose. I despise that the message of Autism Speaks is one of needing to fix or prevent children like mine from being born. And the fact that they don’t invite a significant contribution from individuals with autism on their board just confirms for me that they do not see individuals with autism as having valuable contributions to make.”
autism is not spread by a pathogen and so cannot be prevented by vaccination. don't even think of coming in here with these weak scientifically illiterate memes.
Stop letting reality get in the way of a decent joke.
Jesus christ I hate people like that. I am on the spectrum, actually diagnosed, and due to my position most of the people on my team know. Do they still treat me like a human being? Totally. Do they help me when I need help? For sure.
There's a huge difference between asking people to help you and to ask people to put up with you. One implies you are trying to better yourself. The other implies you are not. I loathe people who go around slinging the phrase 'aspie' and doing retarded shit like saying 'autism isn't a disorder blah blah atlantis blah blah neutotipical-scum'. I got where I am today through psychology, behavioral therapy, medication, and a desire to make myself better. If you aren't willing to do that, fine, but don't expect me to not treat you like you're an asshole, because you are.
Also the whole "let's look at the positives" makes me wonder if they'd be offended by people saying "Well you may not be able to walk but at least you get to sit in a chair all day and go to the front of lines at theme parks~"
EDIT: And to quickly clarify because I spouted this off the top of my head, I by no means mean that people on the spectrum who are incapable of helping themselves are assholes. I was referring to the more moderate people who want to be allowed to do whatever they want under the guise of 'I'm special'. People on the spectrum who legit can't help themselves need all the help they can get.
I have an acquaintance that, no lie, thinks bi-polar (or any other similar disorder) is made up as an excuse for wimps. This all came about when a few months back during the controversy of WWE announcer Mauro Ranallo, who is vocal about his bi-polar disorder, went on a leave and reports of a colleague bullying him was the cause. Paraphrasing, he said, "Awww he got buuuulllliiieeeed. Jesus what a baby."
I've heard this guy say some dumb things (there are only 3 races: white, black, Mexican), but when I asked him if he was serious and he said yes I was a bit disturbed that an adult could honestly believe such a thing in this day. I don't really talk to this person anymore because of such stupidity.
The only races are black, Mexican, Chinese, terrorist, and normal.
fuck i lol'd @ normal
