Being an effeminate man does not make you gay, just as being a masculine woman does not make you a lesbian. All those labels mean is that you are exhibiting traits that society associates with a particular gender.

I'm always torn on this between people being free to do whatever and being what science says we are. I can identify as as many things as I want, but my corpse is going to read "fat white dude" regardless of what I say.
Well, science does say things about the brains of the transgendered.

I want to reply to this, but you so perfectly spoke for yourself that I can't fathom what I would say. If you're trolling, great job. If you're not... I mean, honestly? Implying that trans women are just gay men who can't admit it? Really? I mean, REALLY?
Spoiler: show
If his response corresponds to "I'm tired of giving any kind of a fuck about this" than I agree with him.
It's church, of course he's trolling.
To be fair, that's probably true of any political issue with Internet clout besides maybe feminism. Police brutality, gay rights, middle east war, etc.
Ehh, the extremist "everything is rape culture" groups, maybe. But things like male gaze/female objectification arguably effects all women, which is roughly half the human population. And I'm not sure there are quite 3 billion individual's views on feminism stated on the internet quite yet, but I also wouldn't be surprised if we're close.
male gayz are a big problem
ehhh I guess if you want to call those issues and assume it is having any negative effect on most females lives
Science journalism says things about the brains of the transgendered without linking to any of the papers it references, all while phrasing the title of the article as a question for bonus science points.
I don't doubt the possibility that types of neurological abnormalities may be responsible for or related to gender dysphoria, but Scientific American is hardly scientific.
