Actually, the fact that people outright hunt for things to get offended about and causing a shit storm is pretty fucking bad. I'm waiting for the day someone tells me they are offended because I'm a white male.

On the "National intersex day" I made a comment on a friends post about saying, paraphrased: "I think the transgender movement needs to focus on other things than the binary system we use for passports. This person (in the example picture posted) needs to choose a gender for now and eventually the movement will catch up with them. But you're not going to get it all now, so you need to focus on the bigger issues at hand first."

TL:DR - Responses were I'm no "ally" to transgenders, check my privilege, I'm not allowed to tell an oppressed person how to act...and this all came from a straight white male friend of my fb friend.

A week or so later the Housin anti-discrimination bill gets rejected heavily, and I just wanted to go "see, you got far more important shit to worry about in this movement than your passports checkbox, ya stupid fucks." But I haven't...yet.

The person in the original article said they cannot leave the country as they cannot get a passport as they are intersex, not male or female. So this person is essentially screwing themselves out of being able to travel simply because they don't want to check a box. Oh god the oppression. I mean, I can see why they wouldn't like it, and no one is asking them to, but you check a fucking box (likely the one the same as the binary gender bathroom you're socially accepted to use) and travel the goddamn world.

Are you tailoring it per job? Small tweaks here and there for specific positions? I just cannot imagine 500 jobs you couldve theoretically been qualified for and not a single call back.

Well Ksandra is right, in a sense. canada has been in a recession for about a year now, it hit right after my graduation, and alberta got hit the hardest with the oil and gas falling into the shitter.

Still though I helped my friend from Yonder days in Ffxi who is canadian with his resume, he just finished school this summer. Pretty sure he got callbacks on 2/3 of the jobs he applied for and landed the 2nd one after 2 interviews. And this kid is an doof, it's fucking Ramzus.

There's a significant chance someone "helped" your resume right into the fucking garbage or it looks too generic, etc etc.

If you wanna message me and at least give me broad specifics of your field / degree / experience I can at least see if there's > 0 I can do.

Let me preface this by explaining that this is a rather biased right-wing website, likely with a vested partisan interest in opposing the scandal purely to fuck with liberals.

It is fairly interesting however that despite all of the controversy surrounding this happening there is absolutely zero proof of it ever really occurring. Highly doubt it really is a hoax, since this site, like I said, is pretty full of itself, but still.

I have a friend that wanted to just collect unemployment checks, but he had to apply to jobs in order to show he was efforting. He applied to Skywalker Ranch, Troublemaker Studios, ESPN, etc. He actually got a call back from ESPN, and has been working there over 10 years, and even won an Emmy.
