Been said already but god, are those new Gifts disappointing?
It's not like they suck in general but I'm confident most if not all of us were certainly expecting a bit more from them...

Many 100, 550 or 1200 JP gifts are kinda job-changing. These ones are nice additions but I don't really see anything with that sort of relevance.

Anyone else notice capacity chains behaving strangely in Reisenjima? I just went 3 minutes between killing two mobs and went from chain #9 to 10, exp chain has reset a couple of times during that chain too. I just came back and haven't really done any CP farming, but I'm assuming this isn't how it normally works. Stopped when I waited 3 minutes to kill the next one

Avatars are indeed borked in Reisen. They don't really attack unless you tell them to, and you get hate SUPER easily.

Might be related to the currently ongoing campaign that affects the chain bonus? Maybe it also affects how much time you have to keep the chain going.

Gonna ask this here as well..

I need someone's help with creating a list of changed files from this update.

For someone who's already patched (and did it all in the same day) if you could run this here program (wilddragonchase.com/FFXI/ListXIUpdates.exe) and send me the list that would be great. The program makes a list of all the files that were modified on the most recent day.

mine only picks up half the files cos apparently the date modified straddles 2 days. can't datamine without complete list :\

Yeaaah, but Exenterator sucks. Attaching the "Ultimate Skillchain" to a shit-tier non-SA-compatible WS for Dagger is painful.

Clearly they will get WS damage +40% from using those WS with the Aeonic!!!one!1!

Also about the "Ultimate Skillchain" being attached to Extenterator, that's not necessarily the case. I mean, like others have said maybe the Merit WS is just to activate the Aftermath (we don't even know how long it will last) and then you can use any WS to create the Ultimate SC.

The difference in Unity Ranking CP gain between 1st place and last place is 20% (additive with other bonuses).

I'm guessing that the update was so slow this time around because we are probably sharing file servers with FFXIV... which released a major update (3.1) on the same day. Bad planning, SE. Very bad planning.
