I'm not sure if this is windower related or not, but occasionally when I interact with NPC/objects (entry point to reisenjima) my char would freeze. Game continues my normal, but I'm unable to move my char or do anything other than chat. Is anyone else experiencing this as well?

I've had it a couple of times, once on the home point in W Adoulin by MH, and once on another char at the warp by MH in E Adoulin. Both times were soon after zoning, before inventory loaded. I have found that waiting for my inventory to load hasn't caused it since, but that could just be coincidence.

This happens when the server sends the npc interaction flag, locking you into a mode where the server is waiting for a menu selection. If the following packet to actually open the menu is lost in any manner, you'll be stuck in limbo unable to reply to the menu to remove the npc interaction flag. It's not a windower issue, it's a FFXI issue.

Is there a trick to the bomb NM for the midras quest? It keeps doing a seemingly scripted self-destruct at 1% that it can't be stunned or killed during, than sending me back to midras for more explosives.

It took me 7 attempts to kill it...
Tried 6 different setups/jobs, 7th attempt was successful with the same setup as 6th.
Basically me on NIN, a tank DD, and lots of buffer trusts + Apururu.
I also had 3 RDM trusts (Arciela1, Koru-Moru and King of Hearts) for dispel spam.
Just zerged the thing.
All my other attempts trying to dispell the spikes proved to be unsuccessful for one or multiple reasons.

I swore I read something about that... but I checked the most recent update and found nada.

You can cap all stats, magic skills, physical skills, and merit your merit cap up to 75. As far as increasing a players power though, no caps were raised.

Honestly it must have just been a dream I remember vividly... that happens a lot.. Swore they added items or something you could spend Merits on.

Escha related NPCs, porters and HP crystals are failing to load at a 40% rate lately. Shit is driving me insane.

I keep getting a "Playonline Viewer stopped working" message when the program shifts from POL to FFXI... anyone have any ideas or can point me to the thread if there is one?

Windows 10, direct play is on, running as administrator and can't get past the POL viewer to the opening title screen of the game ; ;

Could be one of the plugins, was happening to me too. Maybe drawdistance?

It's just the fact that there is a lot more model congestion due to tons of people and trusts swarming npcs. The more models the game tries to load at once, the higher the chance it screws up.

It's happening in low congested areas like Misareaux coast, Escha Ru'aun and random eschan portals.

Same here. Been seeing it a lot since the patch. Fucked me up in skirmish when the book wouldnt load, literally nothing else was nearby except the defending thing.
