edit: my datamine is screwy cos the date modified for the files for me is split into 9/11 and 10/11. and the program i'm using can only pick up the latest date...

Turns out it was just POL checking the files, I only had to actually download one.

SE needs to put a damn p2p... 14 had something of the like for the client why this was never added for updates in 11 is beyond me. POLs system is such trash, always has been too.

seems to have only cut off about 700 for me ~_~; oh well, might of been the tons of modded crap I had. Still should shave off over an hour. Thanks ^^

So i just came back and am trying it this way for the first time used to only play on Ps2. I copied the rom folders extracted eact to their folder in the ffxi folder did a file check and it is repairing files. Did I do this right?

If it's repairing under 500 files then you should be good.

its repairing 14 but the first one is ffxiPadConfig and seems to error it out any ideas?

error 1160 but at the bottom of the error 1160 it says D:Tools/FFXiPadConfig.exe

I believe the number of files you still need to download is dependent on the number of custom/edited files you had, ie. marked maps.

Does anyone happen to have the original map files they can throw up to replace the marked map files? That may solve the 250+ file download for those of us who have already downloaded Funk's folder.

No idea what happened but the speed of DL from POL seems to have picked up a lot. If like me you have a thousand modded files it might be good news.

I got like halfway through update and got an error message nice...very nice ! Starting over now.
