I can confirm you can get 10+ Gold in Normal. You need 4 parties or so on Dino Island to do so, though.

I don't know if there's actually a hard cap on the number of debuffs/DoTs, even after the debuff bar is filled and your DoTs don't show up (after I think 30 debuffs?) they still apply to the mob and do damage. Maybe there's some higher cap that you can actually hit with 50 odd people hitting something though. It does make keeping track of your DoT times annoying though. In my experience BLM feels like the king here just because they have an infinite resource for doing damage, every time I play MNK instead of a tank I get mad at my TP.
32 will display on the mob
It can't have more than 64 total
Any more and you start seeing "no effect" messages for any enfeeb, even things that aren't DoTs (ie. Trick attack "no effect")
edit: or 30 and 60 as mentioned below (a lot of XI limitations used byte-divisible numbers)
Been 60 since 2.1.

The maximum number of statuses that can be inflicted upon notorious monsters and dungeon bosses has been raised to 60.
* Please note, however, that only 30 will be visible under the target bar.
That said, by god, event could have used some randomization of mob camps or inject some form of FATEs into it or something to prevent everyone zerging the same camp.
Definitely going to default BLM for casters in Diadem for now, went as SMN once and "wtf is wrong with my dps? oh the mob has 700 effects on it already..." It's pretty noticeable and on a job that relies majorly on dot ticking for dps it's just a terrible option for Diadem where the large portion of mobs might live for at most half the time your dots are up, if you can even get them on in the first place.
They need S ranks to spawn randomly. On top of triggering them, so at least it would give you some reason to fly around.
I never have issues as SMN in there but it's a lot more work to get credit. You need to cycle targets and never let dots drop or it's a coin flip if you can get your dots back on or not.
Hard's the same too, ran in to a few peeps I knew that server transferred the other night.
Is credit hate based like Hunts or damage based?
There are lots of things they could have done better to make the zone more interactive. Like each island has a specific S rank that has specific drops. Ex. Dino island spawns the brontosaur and he drops Head and Feet items.
This would cause people to use various islands to get specific drops. 50 players on top of each other in the same spot for 90 minutes is pretty dull.
(This first 15 minutes are more exciting then the next 75, this is especially true if you don't cheese the currents)
MFW it turned into a zerg spam fest and not about exploration and quests:

Who the hell cares about quests or explorations, we all knew this was all about gear from the get go, Lol.
I mean if people care all that much for quests/exploring, they can always solo que. Thats what I did back when I was tryin to figure out the fishing/gathering spots.
just make it ffxiv abbysea edition where mobs in a region drop a key item to pop a star NM on that island. encourage exploration and allow 1 party to kill the NMs in a reasonable amount of time.
i think i'll finish up the last bronze spoils for the mount and call it a day until they inevitably tweak the zone a bit.
It's basically all damage because provoke works.
