    Four FC+7% pieces, two 6-10% Aspir Potency with good MAcc pieces, and multiple pieces of MAcc, MAB, MBD, etc pieces, and my luck with -DT stats has been pretty meh too. Can backup Lyra and say I've seen -4% DT once and -5% PDT or MDT enough times to count on one hand. I'd imagine it's just a very rare offset augment.

    Just spent a few hundred stones of all three types on Zulfiqar (the Great Sword). I saw:

    DMG up to +23 (probably caps at 25)
    Accuracy, Attack, or Accuracy and Attack up to +29 (probably caps at 30)
    STR, DEX, or AGI up to +20 (probably caps at 15 without Taupe)
    Store TP up to +6
    WS DMG up to +3%
    Double Attack up to +3%
    Physical Damage Taken up to -3%
    Magic Attack Bonus up to +20
    Magic Accuracy up to +20
    Fast Cast up to +5%

    The distributions per stone seem to the same as on armor, except with DMG being a roughly 50% chance regardless of which stone you choose.

    When accuracy isn't a problem, it would still barely lose to Montante +1 with my armor set even with DMG +25, STR +20, ATK/ACC +30, DA +3% (the likely perfect augments for pure damage). However, it does beat a perfectly augmented Humility quite handily when it comes to situations where accuracy is a concern. The one I settled on has DMG +12, DEX +17, ACC +25, ATK +15, Physical Damage Taken -1%.

    Oh, and you can also get Enhancing Magic Duration on it, but after many, many Ferns, I never saw higher than 3, so it doesn't seem very worth it.

    not sure if it was posted prior but grioavolr (t2 staff) can get enhancing duration +10 with any stone (got +10 with taupe, +9 with a fern on mule)

    Chironic gloves, healing path, pell stone, 35macc/39mab augment. bgwiki currently has 30 as being cap.

    That's stronger than Amalric hands+1 and way more macc. Too bad blm can't use.

    I spent almost a thousand stones tonight on this augment system while printing the augments out to my chat log, then I went back through and analyzed it using regular expressions.

    The most important findings are:
    1) I don't really see Pellucid stones doing anything more than forcing the Acc/Atk slot
    2) Off-path augments occur at a 10% rate. Job-trait slot off-path augments are likely the DT stats. Slot 4/5 have no off-path augment.
    3) Non-forced augments occur at a 60% rate
    4) Accuracy / Attack distributions are flat. It is possible that the Slot 4/5 augments get dropped if they would push the total Acc or Atk over 40.
    5) The Job Trait distribution is not flat. You're much more likely to get low potency augments than high potency ones, at least up to augments with 6 states. I can't say much about augments with 11 states, because I don't have enough occupancy. Either way, you're looking at approximately a 2.7% highest-potency augment rate every time you spend a Fern stone (11/412), assuming all max potency augments are equally probable.


    You can use this model and the rest of the information on the page to approximate the cost of improving your equipment's augment.

    Doing god's work Byrth. Seriously man, I appreciate the amount of work you put into finding out how things work in this game AND making it organized, readable and easily understandable. Extends to all the other people that do this type of stuff too.

    I got 1 augment +40 (with Pellucid) on Chironic Gloves, I guess the max with standar Stones is +40 (and +50 with Dark matter)

    +40 what? Macc or Acc? Byrth reported different caps with normal stones (+30 macc, +40 acc)

    Well I dunno what to say, Byrth reported the Macc/mab cap on Chironic to be +30 normally, compared to the +40 you have on Merlinic.
    Maybe that's a mistake though and you can actually cap at +40 just like on Merlinic, and just like the cap of +acc/att etc. Makes more sense this way I guess.

    I guess this makes them into quite a very nice non-mb option for SCH and RDM? Too bad for the job assignments. Wish Chironic and Merlinic had the same jobs listed on them =/

    Naw, they go up to 40. For some reason it feels much more unlikely than on Merlinic.

    I got a Double Attack +5 on Valorous Mask (just to tell that you can go over 4%), but ereased it cause all other stats was bullshit...

    Currently my Valorous Mask having DEX+7 Accuracy +37 attack +29

    Used fen stone
