I had a moderate muslim work for me. He was a US catholic muslim. He drank, he smoked, he fucked, he never did salah, he was in a SOF unit dedicated to destroying other muslims, hated terrorists, hamas, etc.

Still thought gay people needed to be put to death and that sharia was a pgood system. When asked about how he could feel that way, considering sharia would #rekt him, basically ignorant but muh religion response.

Smart guy otherwise, identical to the people in that video.

Just one anecdote though, I met/know plenty, let me know if you want more because none of them are gonna be any different.

Govt does have good hackers but every year more and more of the "top" are going into private over the option of spook (or non-spook) work because of sec. clearance, degree requirements, drug policies, etc.

I'm at least vaguely aware of the existence of off-the-books exceptions. My understanding of it, probably limited, is still that the amount of people they have available for that stuff, while of high quality, is a woefully small percentage of the number of people we need working on the problem as a whole.

I don't have a personal anectdote that matches that, just typical homophobia that is found anywhere else. Sharia law is a sick joke to the "moderate muslims" I encounter. The label itself "moderate muslim" means absolutely nothing, as our anecdotes prove.

I found the video offensive, but then I again I have a lot of these so-called "moderate muslims" as friends, online and off. I've seen similar videos used to justify the heinous anti-refugee fearmongering. It's prejudice, at-best.
